Re: Handheld tracker hardware
I guy I know (Kerberos) also has the polyend and made a breakcore/speedcore track with it on this release: https://darkstep.org/ds022/ I'm also on there, with a Buzz tune of course. :D I've been playing with this app on my phone lately, which is kinda nice. It's still in early-access, but it's promi...

Re: Mixers/visual audio analysis tools
The "Force stereo output" setting does the trick! Thanks! I checked the settings before, but I missed that one apparently. #facepalm Weird though as I don't have that setting enabled. Does force stereo output limit it to a single stereo pair? Not sure what you mean with this. How can I te...

Re: Mixers/visual audio analysis tools
I can't get this to work. I've set 4 channels like you said, but when I pan from left to right, left seems to be centered, and when it goes right it mutes. Not sure why. Did you try with a new instance of SPAN? It seems that PVST saves the channel mapping for individual instances so if you change t...

Re: Mixers/visual audio analysis tools
SPAN seems to mess with stereo though. When I try to pan things left or right, it doesn't work if the SPAN is in between the machine and the master. Odd things is, when I turn the sound all the way to the left, I don't hear anything anymore. Yeah, I forgot about that but I did have to fiddle with t...

Re: Mixers/visual audio analysis tools
Can't beat SPAN for free. https://www.voxengo.com/product/span/ If you want a free VU there's this one... https://www.tb-software.com/products/mvmeter2 That SPAN VST looks great, but how do I get VST's working in Buzz again? I remember getting that to work on another laptop once, but I haven't set ...

Mixers/visual audio analysis tools
What mixer do you use nowadays in Buzz, and do you use any additional audio analysis tools like spectrum analysers etc. I used to have something called VUMeter which was a standalone Windows app, but that doesn't work anymore unfortunately as it doesn't seem to pick up the correct audio source. For ...

I should read all replies before I answer right...synthphase wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 9:38 pm As Thoke mentioned it's a little tedious but I recommend using Unwieldy tracker for slicing at least as an exercise to visualize what granular slicing (pitch / time shifting) is all about.

Re: Any generator to slice samples?
Fuzzpilz UnwieldyTracker is my go-to for chopping up breaks. Great for your typical jungle/drum'n'bass and breakcore Amen-slicing business. In Unwieldy you can set your sample to stretch for X ticks, which means it'll always loop perfectly no matter what BPM your track has. With the offset, you can ...

Re: Copy machine settings to a pattern
Yes indeed, I used the copy button & then CTRL-V in the pattern editor all the time to do this.
CTRL-T also works though, but you just have to know that shortcut exists. I actually checked the manual again, but couldn't find any reference to it.

Copy machine settings to a pattern
Man, I know it's possible but I forgot how to do it. IIRC there is a way to copy all parameter settings from a machine into a pattern. Sort of like saving it as a preset, but in a pattern. I did this a lot to get my initial machine settings right in the beginning of a tune, and then use the record b...

Re: Files needed to install Buzz
The not-dev has his thinking cap on again (sorry). Back in the day, there were various Buzz Install Packages available on the old buzzmachines.com site. Yeah, they were all "Old" Buzz Versions, but would it not be possible (even desirable?) to have a modern Buzz Install Package with the l...

Re: Files needed to install Buzz
If you do the clean install and get the rest of the machines through Buzz I'm not sure if you need any extra DLL's. The annoying part is that the extra machines are downloaded in a folder under your user profile, so you can't search them like the machines you get by default. You need to copy them in...

On a new tracker it works fine indeed. On the one I was trying it on it doesn't. Weird.

Wav editor, bidirectional loop not working?
Is the bidirectional loop simply not working in the wav editor, or am I doing it wrong?
It's acts exactly the same as the regular loop setting.

Buzz migration
How do you guys handle migrating your Buzz setup to a new machine? I've done this before, but I always run into the problem that some old BMX's don't open anymore on the new setup. I'd like to use the latest version of Buzz of course, but if some things don't open or work there, I end up reverting t...
