Re: Assigning start/stop controls to MIDI?

WDE just made a machine that does this.

I have been using bome midi translator, and that works well.

Re: Any way of getting WASAPI audio input?

Yeah I guess the device probably needs to have strong support for asio in the first place. I use a Lynx E22 and asio is a dream for me. I'm running my setup at 96khz with 5ms turnaround latency. I don't use any other audio applications except buzz though. I used to use wasapi. I had best results wit...

Re: DAW Control

Sorry for saying this should go in users, I thought you were sharing a third party utility. Still though, a cross post maybe.

So yeah, I really needed this functionality and that's why I got bome. What features does your machine have? (I'll try it of course.)

nasa audio collection

Don't know if anyone knows about this. Great place for all your blastoff countdown and 'Houston we have a problem' needs. https://archive.org/details/nasaaudiocollection and this one has some sounds of the instruments of various probes as they took data and measurements. My favorite is the voyager e...

Re: DAW Control

Cool, I'll have to take a look. I use bome midi translator for this same purpose. It translates midi into keystrokes. The main limitation is that buzz won't accept the keystrokes if it doesn't have focus, but that's a normal buzz idiosyncrasy. https://www.bome.com/products/miditranslator This topic ...

Re: First time posting anything

I'm going to say it again. This is a great set of music you have here. So cool and interesting. A great example of some very ecclectic buzz music. I'm not as much a straight techno person so I really like this ambient stuff. Great job A++++

Wow, great suggestions! I can't wait to try them out. Thanks very much for sharing your insights. While I was trying to figure out what to do today I stumbled on this zip of all the fuzzpilz effects: https://mega.nz/#!EYITwAiB Pretty great starting point. Re: does polac vsti require vst compatible with midi for mid

Thanks for the suggestions! Yeah I've tried what seems obvious. I have no problem using midi input with many VST but some don't seem to want to do it. I used midi ox for a while, and it worked great except what you mentioned. I use 2 midi devices, so I needed a bigger tool. Now I use a combination o...

recommend native buzz effects for ambient soundscapes

Hey guys, I could use some recommendations for some native buzz effects for ambient sound. I'm going to be doing some atmospheric stuff using long clips of found sound. I was thinking about a pitch shifter, a phaser/flanger, a delay/reverb, and a filter. As to any recommendations, The wilder the bet...

does polac vsti require vst compatible with midi for midi in

If If I have polac vsti hosting a vst, and I have a midi device through polac midi in, does the vst have to be compatible with midi in order to use my midi controller to control the vst parameters?

I can't figure out how to get the 'son of a pitch' to accept midi.
