Re: hard disk record produces broken wav file.
I made an alternate installation of buzz and it works. I'll probably just migrate all my stuff to the new install. Thanks for suggesting checking the drivers though. I'm going to do that before I go through the trouble, since the alternate is using wasapi and I usually use wdm kernel streaming.

Buzz crashes when I click bpm.
When I click the bpm box to enter a value manually buzz freezes and then displays an error message when I close it. This doesn't happen when I click the up and down arrows, only when I click the numbers to manually enter a value. http://postimg.org/image/b2saz17dj/ I've tried xd simplon (my normal t...
Hello
I've been dealing with equipment problems for months but now that's mostly behind me. I'm working on music full time now, and I get to switch from equipment problems to composition orchestration etc problems. I love buzz and I'm going to keep it as my main tool for working in the electronic space. I...

http://www.atacomipc.com/program/ipc_web_new.cgi?KEYWORDS=IMBN_PORT_AE_05&gclid=CNPRh5T35MQCFVc2aQodUZsA2Q I found this using google shopping. I'm not familiar with the gaida boards. If it isn't available here you can maybe order it from abroad if you search ali baba or something. Good luck on y...
Re: Corona
Qsamo has stood the test of time with me. I like it more and more as I get to know it better. It acts the nicest with my keyboard too. As such, Corona is the only synth that I really am pining to buy.

qsamo record sustain pedal value?
Is there any way I can get qsamo to do this for me? I'm playing with a sustain pedal, and qsamo is using the sustain data when i'm playing but it doesn't get recorded to the track. I'm not seeing it in any of the parameters under pattern properties either. If I can't get it to work this way I'm goin...

Re: Pattern XP mod
Make sure you use the version of microsoft visual studio that matches the version of Buzz you're using. I was trying the 64 bit version because my OS is 64 bit, and it didn't work. I'm having a problem though. There's no gear.xml! I'm using 1499, and I've looked everywhere. I have gear_defaults, but...

Optical spdif multi channel out in buzz?
I haven't ever actually utilized my optical spdif connectors, but I've heard some people say that optical spdif (toslink) can carry as many as 8 channels of audio. Using spdif in buzz is as easy as selecting it in preferences, but would it be possible to route machines through those 8 different chan...

Re: Best audio drivers for tone (all praises to polac)
This is an old conversation but I wanted to bump it because I had a thought. "you say you can't use ASIO because guitar rig blocks it, but why don't you just load guitar rig as a VST inside buzz and direct the input (with polac audio input machines) to guitar rig vst." Because if I use the...

Re: Buzz Benchmark
I also wasn't actually running it within buzz, but rather from cantabile 64. Jacinth did it though. It only took 3 jacinths all maxed out to start making my computer cry. I'm going to redo this more carefully. If this ever were to catch on we'd have to standardize our engine settings too. we should ...

Re: Portability
Nice find! For portwell boards, just do a google shopping search for the model number you want. As to whether it's better, that's going to based upon what you're trying to accomplish, what hardware you want to use etc.

Re: Portability
Currently mini ITX is mature, you can do nearly anything with it. Nano ITX is cutting edge with much fewer options and you sacrifice a lot, but it's small! Pico ITX etc. are really only for hyper specialized applications, and in that space the raspberry pi is probably a better option. Small computer...

Re: Portability
Portwell is the only company I know of that is making nice nano itx boards. As for display, I struggled with this question for a long time before I found a really excellent answer. If you use an android app called splashtop and tether your computer and the tablet you want to use as a display to a wi...

Re: Buzz Benchmark
So far the only way I was able to get it to crackle was by running my card at 196khz and playing a lot of notes at once. My card is supposed to be able to do 196, but it never actually works. It usually will crash even using a normal synth. It was cool to see my temps go up and my cpu go to 50% thou...

Re: Buzz Benchmark
Ooo fun! I haven't got a lush pad in here though... I don't own this synth, where do I find that preset. This isnt' quite what I had in mind though. I want to tax not only the cpu but buzz itself, but that has to do with the fact that I've been wanting to know lately how stable buzz is in itself. I ...
