Re: new pvst beta (updated 12-Jan-2014)
Holy wow! Frustrations getting my MPD to work with samples led me to finally getting this to handle vsts. I install it and load buzz, and there's machine entries for all my midi equipment!? I've been using midi-ox to merge my midi inputs, and I can tell this is going to simplify that whole situation...

Re: Pattern XP mod
Wooooow that's amazing! Thank you! As to the rhythmic inconsistencies, they go away when I'm using a good instrument like my akai MPD. The problem is likely my m-audio keystation. The ~escapement level is somewhere midway through the key dip so it's hard to get your rhythm right! Luckily I have a so...

Re: Akai MPD, Sample Grid, Piano Roll
It seems I could get this to work using unweildy tracker. But the fix would be, well, unweildy. Matilde tracker is a possibility, but I haven't gotten it to work on my x64 machine. I stumbled upon this thread http://forums.jeskola.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1756&view=previous and ran the dll de...

Re: Akai MPD, Sample Grid, Piano Roll
So I got this working. I haven't yet looked at whether it's possible to record automation data on a separate channel for the same machine, but I have run into another problem. Sample grid randomly breaks every time I open it, in this way. Some of the pads that I assign to samples will stop working. ...

Re: Recording midi drums with sgrid not working
Bahaha, I just posted about this same thing! My workaround was to record them in piano roll, but I'm glad to hear they come out in the built-in pattern editor as well.

Akai MPD, Sample Grid, Piano Roll
Salutations comrades! I finally decided to get my mpd working with buzz. I’ve been using it to play out my automations/expressive controls in my synths for a while. The faders and knobs feel great. I’ve had a plan to build a kit of drums from world and symphony percussion for a long time, and I deci...

Re: Pattern XP mod
wow great job! New developments in the world of buzz! The export and import pattern features alone are totally going to change my liiife! Thank you! Oh, feature request! :3 It seems that piano roll is the most accurate option for recording ideas directly. Recording them in pattern xp, they always se...

Toggle midi edit shortcut?
Hello brilliant buzzers. One shortcut I always find myself wishing for is a toggle midi edit shortcut. I toggle this so much over the course of building a pattern. One option is to just move the cursor field to a non-note-data column, but I so often will put some note data into a column long after s...

Re: Any problems running Buzz on Windows 7 64-bit?
I migrated from a 32 bit cpu to a 64 bit cpu. Buzz itself works fine, but you may find that some of your machines no longer work. You may fix some of them by changing their multi-threading settings in their configuration files, but you may find that you will have to leave some machines behind. This ...

Re: Every Buzz keyboard shortcut, mouse shortcut and trick.
Thanks UNZ! I didn't know about that reference. Here's another from user Xenobioz. In sequence editor, to insert patterns after the 68th it is necessary to: "First select the pattern (at the right where you see all the patterns) then press apostrophe (') to add a it. The pattern will be inserte...

Every Buzz keyboard shortcut, mouse shortcut and trick.
In an older thread, the user "Mute" pointed out that all the keyboard shortcuts are contained in the log file that lists the new version features. I've always wanted to know all the tips and tricks so I read this and edited out everything but the commands. I've included anything having to ...

Woah, I never knew about this! Are there any other weird tricks hiding in the obscure bowels of buzz? These two keyboard shortcuts aren't listed in the documentation. %D

Re: Advanced tips and articles
Do you guys know of any good magazines or websites or books that do this but for synth music in general? I got ahold of the devarahi synth book once a number of years ago but that was before I actually had any synthesizers to experiment with. Synths are so complex and mysterious and cool. Something ...

Re: Matilde Tracker2 and Matilde Tracker3
This is a dumb question, but what exactly are trackers used for in buzz? Does it take the place of pattern xp or something? I've downloaded them before but never gotten them working, although buzz's resemblance to a tracker is one of the things I like about it since I got started writing computer mu...

No, not yet. I've only been using buzz native stuff so there hasn't been any need.

Hey does anyone know if there's any way to make Qsamo ignore the midi velocity from the keyboard. I keep coming back to this synth!

Re: Midi Problems : Akai MPD 26 in Buzz
Yeah, the 18 wouldn't work for me because I got it as much for the faders and knobs as the pads, but it's so amazing. I feel the same way. You can set the midi range for everything so it makes it so easy to play in the sweet spot of whatever parameter you're working with. I love it so much. Do you u...
