Re: Buzz on Linux
at this point I have been using this latest version of buzz in wine on ubuntu for a few months. I have encountered zero real problems. I have recorded most of an album this way. The only thing is it doesn't exit easily, I have to shut it down via terminal

Re: Buzz on Linux
I just got buzz to work in ubuntu first try, no problem, by following the instructions in the OP. It works great even. I installed my standard set of VSTs, silent way and VAZ modular and those work too. I am in shock. Shock! jeskola buzz was the last thing holding me back from switching to linux com...

Re: Modular synthesis versus Buzz
sorry this is six months later, you can use modular synthesis with buzz. I have a massive DIY modular and I use it with buzz exclusively. Silent Way VST and a DC coupled interface is the way to go

You should have one of these dots, and then right click on it to give you options. The circle with the number in it, not the triangle

Re: If you had to cheat on Buzz...
Nothing I have ever tried has the ease of use with the sequencing. I can pump out a sequence in no time on buzz and then use any VST or sample or native buzz instrument or effect. It's still the best for me all these years later. The combo of the tracker interface with the sequence view and then the...

Re: New headphone + audiointerface ?
For headphones, I am a big fan of the Superlux 681 and 668.They are really cheap made in China but are actually great headphones with a clear sound and no bass boost nonsense. The 681 especially get great reviews and are often compared to some of the mid-range Sennheiser, but much cheaper. If you ha...

Re: Best way to add groove/swing to your tracks?
you are absolutely right! I have been doing 4 beats rows of 12 for a while now, its the best. Then sometimes I go to 120 for whatever reason. But the best thing is you can do 4 x 12 for most patterns than if a certain pattern needs to be different, the division can be different for just that pattern...

Re: getting back into buzz
I use jeskola buzz everyday! for so long now. It's a little lonely when you respond to questions out there on the internet like "what DAW do you use" and then nobody even knows what you are talking about. I couldn't even imagine using a different DAW. At some point I am going to be 75 year...

Re: Windows 10
my desktop just upgraded to windows 10 last week. It was that latest push for windows 10 upgrades where it just starts without permission. It has a little dialogue informing you that it will upgrade at a certain time and I just instinctually clicked exit without reading, as I have been doing with ev...

Re: Every Buzz keyboard shortcut, mouse shortcut and trick.
Thanks UNZ! I didn't know about that reference. Here's another from user Xenobioz. In sequence editor, to insert patterns after the 68th it is necessary to: "First select the pattern (at the right where you see all the patterns) then press apostrophe (') to add a it. The pattern will be insert...

Re: handle multiple analogue In&/Outputs
1. Is it possible to have the multiple Inputs and Outputs of an audio interface visible in the machine view? It is, using multiple instances of Polac ASIO in, for inputs. and Polac ASIO out for outputs. You don't use the 'master' machine in this case. There is that little dialog you can click on to...

Re: Using Buzz to control a modular synth
http://i.imgur.com/NenNjUd.png Here is what my setup for silent way usually looks like. The machine called MIDI is polac's Internal MIDI vst. That's the machine that you would sequence or play midi into. The effect in the middle is Silent Way's voice controller loaded as a vst effect. Each output i...

Re: Using Buzz to control a modular synth
yep, silent way works perfectly with buzz. that's what I do! I have a big DIY modular. I don't even use midi at all anymore. You can then use the pattern editor or peer control to control the silent way voice generator or the silent way DC. Then, if you have enough ins and out, you can do crazy stuf...

windows waveform audio crackle?
Does anybody get crackle when using windows waveform audio as the wave output? The problem is fixed when I click 'config' then 'ok' without changing any settings. It returns when I restart buzz. So it isn't a problem that really matters. But maybe there is a setting that I can change somewhere

Re: Polac ASIO "no hardware found or already in use"
I just did an uninstall and re-install of buzz and polac and its the same problem, its still looking for the ozone. I guess it's something not in the buzz install folder, like a registry or something? Where could I look?
