Re: Surround and/or multi-channel music
I've been giving this some thought myself in the last few years. Based on the speed of tech innovation, it is not out of the question that surround could kick in, and kick in fast on a consumer, and pro level, and then we will all have to start thinking much harder. It's not the same thing as what h...

Re: I wrote an acid tune
I'm with you guys. I don't have the system or room for mastering though, nor the skill for it. I resolved myself to just writing tunes the best I can with what I have kind of thing. Honestly, I try not to break my head over it these days, and I make as much noise as I can before it all goes diving i...

Re: Frightening song...
Hey Magmavander, great song! I love how the percussion is a bit darker than the harmony part, they work well together.

Re: What's your favourite reverbs and why?
Reverb is definitelty a taste thing, meaning that a lot of times its the smaller, less flashy ones that deliver that beautiful, rich room and depth. The three that come to mind right away are D16 toraverb, Toneboosters Reverb, and u-he Protoverb. All three have very thick, rich sound, more musical r...

Re: getting back into buzz
To be honest Buzz is my safest DAW when it comes to doing the really complex chaining with any commercial plugs I got my hands on. Fab filter, waves, d16, u-he, flux, NI...etc., smooth. And that's X64. The only crashes happen due to plugin failures themselves rather than Buzz and all the polac magic...

Natural nature ASMR video. Essentially you watch this dude smoke a blunt and drink a 40 for half an hour. It's like ASMR for the homeless, really priceless piece.

YouTube wisdom
So I found this cat, absolutely genius video. If you find some gem on YouTube, drop it here. I'll take a look. There was another one I watched on "mastering" recently where I learned such wisdoms as "mixing trumps composition", and "mixing is like taking a gagged rock and po...

Re: Windows 10
Good to hear Windows 10 is working for buzzers. I have a question. Several years back I tried updating my win 7 to 8 and it wouldn't let me because the motherboard wasn't compatible with 8. Now I'm with the same motherboard, what are the chances that 10 will work but not 8? P.S. Whatever happened to...

Re: problems with switch to x64
Ableton is great, especially the track delay controls. Gotta give it to them, when they say Live, they mean it. There is no delay compensation, but you can do it by hand in samples, jeez!!! I lose hours turning the little suckers, so my recent Ableton stuff sounds like a monkey tracked it. Still can...
