Re: SampleGrid3 BETA 1
(disclaimer: my project is vibe coded using Claude, using ReBuzz and SampleGrid source code for reference) https://github.com/mridlen/Buzz2XML One of my goals with Buzz2XML was to be able to upgrade SampleGrid within a song to version 3. This supports version 1 (which uses only samples) and version ...

Re: a multitrack recorder that works?
They take the names of the MTWr machines, so just rename the instances as you want the tracks to be named.
E.g.
MTWr -> songname_drum1
MTWr2 -> songname_synth1
MTWr3 -> songname_bass1

Tonocracy - VST3 - no audio processing? bypass mode?
I loaded up Tonocracy, but I'm guessing it is in some kind of bypass mode because there is no change to the source sound.

Re: Buying new laptop
You want to look for good per-core performance primarily. So less cores that are more powerful instead of more cores that are less powerful.

Re: Very loud Output in Buzz
So normally I put everything through a mixer before sending it to mtw. Then I take all the tracks back out of the mixer and put them into mtw tracks. Then they all go into a cheapo amp, and then mastering. Here's an image of my workflow.

Re: Do mini-keyboards work in Buzz as a MIDI controller?
Is there a manual for these products? It's hard to give an answer about the knobs without reading the manual.

Re: Do mini-keyboards work in Buzz as a MIDI controller?
If you can do it on a regular keyboard, you could program this thing to do it. So the workflow would be:
- check the keyboard shortcut in Buzz documentation
- program the keyboard for that shortcut

Re: Modular synthesis versus Buzz
If you guys haven't played with Cardinal VST, it's pretty amazing but kind of CPU heavy. It's fun for building modular soundscapes.
Re: Cardinal
Dumb question to any of the regulars at algorithmic composition, but what machines can be rigged to send and (more importantly) receive CV? I found the click'n'pop which you can use to sync BPM from Buzz (although this is doing it the hard way). Buzz_Cardinal.PNG You have to set "mode" to ...
Cardinal
You know I like to share all the latest and greatest VSTs... this one is really about the most massive thing I've seen. https://kx.studio/News/?action=view&url=cardinal-2205-has-been-released I think it has more modules than Buzz itself! :o It's also free and open source! Cardinal.PNG Now I just...

Re: Korg Wavestate
The wavestate plays my backing track if I am willing to sacrifice a layer, and you only get 4 layers. But its only a 37 key so thats probably enough for 37 keys. And I have something like 3GB of song storage space on the wavestate. Good for minimal gear shows. The guitar amp sim is pretty cool too. ...
