Re: Buzz native wave track: can we have it, please?

Four other people have contributed to the wavetable view, and three of us had to learn a new language to do it. It's a bit offensive when you forget that, and not at all motivating for us. As I mentioned in another thread, you can contribute by creating a web page with a list of developers, what the...

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?

There was an idea on the irc channel a while ago to make a webpage with all the various donate buttons of different buzz devs and maybe a list of what they were working on. Some of us would prefer you donate through buying records or sending beer, but those details could replace the donate button. ...

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?

One of the things that happens when people value Buzz and small communities like ours is getting defensive about it. Another is that they try to help improve it with ideas on how to move forward. Before this descends into the infinite flame war that is the internet norm, lets all take a deep breath ...

hundredcaws wrote:yes, i simply want to control any buzz machine notes from a midi device, and i want polyphonic. older buzz machines do not support midi, as far as i know.
use cyanphase mc-1 with midi, it's polyphonic and if you connect a generator to it the midi notes will be sent to the gen.

Re: Hard disk recorder modes, int32 vs. float32?

Assuming if you have a limiter at the end of the chain and you have already set the ceiling of your limiter to -0.1, is it still able to produce any clipping or noise burst? and what do you recommend as the final export, generally? 32 bit or 32 bit IEEE float? No, the limiter will deal with the pro...

Re: Hard disk recorder modes, int32 vs. float32?

Ah, sorry to confuse. What i meant was that the 32 bit float can have samples that are above 1.0 or below -1.0 (where the clipping occurs). When this is played, it clips if you have badly mixed the track (ie, forgot to put a limiter in) or creates a noise burst by trying to push the speaker too far....

Re: Hard disk recorder modes, int32 vs. float32?

They are the different formats of .wav files, 32b float is not clipped and can have very very large noise bursts in it, but 32b int is clipped.
