Re: Typing machine menu position bug (erm, feature !)
Found out the source of the problem / bug - because the resolution of my screen is so high (1920 x 1080 - the recommended resolution according to my graphics card) the text is a little too small for my vision so I put the text size of my screen to 125% (Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Disp...

Re: Typing machine menu position bug (erm, feature !)
Yeah and I believe it rendered it correctly on my old machine too. So the question is - why on earth on this (pretty much completely) fresh Win7 64-bit build (though 32bit version of Buzz), is it going wonky - and just with this menu box

Typing machine menu position bug (erm, feature !)
I'm not sure quite if it's my graphics card (NVIDEA GeForce 540M) but I've noticed a strange phenomenon that I really don't remember happening on my old laptop - The distance (both X & Y) from the mouse pointer to the text box (the one that appears when you type on the Machine View) seems to cha...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 06-Mar-2012)
Aah glad it's not just me - I was starting to think my Buzz just didn't like my new laptop. I've begun to use the two ASIO outs now as I'm starting to learn surround sound composition, I use one ASIO machine for the front two channels and another for the back two - not sure if there's a better way o...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 06-Mar-2012)
Maybe it has something to do with 64bit or different processors? I'm on a AMD 64bit running win7 64, running buzz 32bit Mmm possibly, I'm on an Intel i7 (Sandy bridge) 64bit running Windows 7 (with 32 bit Buzz). Should I be running the Buzz AVX builds, or is/was this just for test purposes by Oskar...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 06-Mar-2012)
Weird th0ke is able to get the burst with the example too ( http://forums.jeskola.net/viewtopic.php?p=3561#p3561 - N.B. He got the two example files I uploaded mixed up, so that's why he refers to not being able to see a matilde). N.B. Sometimes it takes about 20 seconds to happen, sometimes it's in...

Re: Gear.xml Settings for old machines
Cool, cheers for confirming man - the nearest I'd describe it as is being a buffer underrun, like the samples are struggling to get there quite in time so you get this metallic sound. Edit - looks like you went through exactly the deduction process I went through last night :D Try disabling the mult...

Re: Gear.xml Settings for old machines
Crap, sorry man I uploaded the wrong bmx last night - that one was meant for this post: viewtopic.php?p=2970#p2970 (glad you also confirm a noise burst, as that was the reason for the upload - in that topic anyway !)

Re: Gear.xml Settings for old machines
Originally I did - first the philthy then raverb, then both (I first posted those being at fault before editing, then re-editing, then re-re-editing ! ) as I also thought that those were more likely to be the fault. But it wasn't until I disabled multithreading on Matilde that the problem went when ...

Re: Gear.xml Settings for old machines
Weird, I don't get a burst just a crackly/robot-y noise when the second Matilde is connected. What happens if you manually create the chain - Matilde Tracker 1.9rc7 (aka Matilde Tracker 2) -> FSM Philthy -> Jeskola Raverb -> Master and then connect a second MTrk 2 to the Philthy? - another burst ?

Re: new pvst beta (updated 28-Jan-2012)
had the same issue with drumatic 3 too. disabling multithreading for this vst solved the issue most of the time. however, when loading a bmx containing the machine the issue came up again. i found only one workaround: 1) create a second instance of drumatic in the same bmx 2) save and reload the pr...

Re: Gear.xml Settings for old machines
Can anyone else confirm this: Matilde Tracker 2 (more specifically 1.9rc7) -> FSM Philthy -> Jeskola Raverb -> Master Try then connecting a second Matilde Tracker 2 into the Philthy and the sound should go all crunchy (example bmx - http://www.ilovecubus.co.uk/pete/buzz_multithreading.bmx - hit play...

Re: What *exactly* is a noise burst
So would it follow that (in rather simplistic coding terms) a possible check could be something along the lines of: if ((output != 0) && (buzz VU meter == 0)){noiseburst handler}
Or again would such a routine be completely impracticable?
