Re: MIDI Controller
Oh and you MUST get bome midi translator. It's free, excellent and very easy. You're going to be able to record parts in live no problem, but this enable you to also use your keyboard to enter note data in pattern view as though it were the computer keyboard. (there are some advantages to doing this...

\/[]<>* punctuation keys in sequencer
After you get through 52 patterns via abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ the sequencer view indicates that you should be able to enter patterns using the punctuation keys. This doesn't work for me though and I wanted to check if it's broken or if there is some trick. You can still...

Start a new topic, your q will be more visible that way, and this stain of a non-post can slowly recede into darkness. hehe

Re: MIDI Controller
Good to see you Zhazhareen! It's been a bit. Glad the clouds have parted on your music. I went through a similar experience these last couple years because I developed bone spurs in my wrists, but I'm back full force now. Oh man that keyboard looks amazing. It's going to be incredible with buzz. It'...

Re: IX Magic - Updated Jan 19th 2019
Well you know how in buzz to enter your note names in pattern editor, the chromatic scale is _s d___g h j z x c v b n m _2 3___5 6 7 q w e r t y u It would work like that. How does this work for the normal pattern editor on international keyboards? Is it the keys on the same positions? I don't know....

kibibu doof, farbrausch v2 broken AF
So, I know these older machines have to have multithreading disabled, and I've done that, but these two, as well as cheapo do nothing and some others are really broken on my machine. I loved both these machines and some of my best stuff from when I first started uses them. If anyonn could point me i...

Re: IX Magic - Updated Jan 19th 2019
Ok, I made my first thing. It accepts midi note A2 and generates Chord swells in tonality with lots of 9 11 13th extensions using M4wII. Sounds very nice and just sitting and playing one key has never been so fun. This is one thing that has been missing from buzz. This element of stochasticism. Thin...

Re: IX Magic - Updated Jan 19th 2019
Ok, having fun making something. First feature request: "buzz keys mode" for note sequence data: Rather than entering the actual note names, using the buzz keys for note names as used in pattern view. I have my midi keyboard set to translate midi notes on channel 1 into the buzz keys, and ...

Re: Sooooo, is buzz dead again ?
One thing though, I WILL admit it hurt a little when we got surpassed in the search rankings by the Over 50 Seniors Forum! HAHA but hey we're a niche. Maybe we'll get some cool old jazz folks to come over to make electronic music, or maybe, just maybe they will entice us to their forum and we will f...

Re: Sooooo, is buzz dead again ?
Yeah, good point IX. This thread is actually the reason that I decided to begin learning IXMagic today, which is one of the most powerful tools in the HISTORY OF MUSIC and you released it last week! I just meant that buzz has got enough already to fill a lifetime of music, and yet it continues to ev...

Re: IX Magic - Updated Jan 19th 2019
OK, now that I have finished those other things, I can now start learning this amazing tool. Was just playing around with the demo pattern using my midi keyboard, It's very cool and fascinating to just play those two notes and have that bass line and chords coming out. I'm really excited to learn an...

Re: Sooooo, is buzz dead again ?
This topic really irritates me, for obvious reasons. It's a pretty stupid thing to come ask the community of people who use this program for their creative work "so is your creative tool dead?". It's not dead, it's finished. It's complete. It's massive, complex, wonderful, enticing. Modula...

Re: How to jump to pattern xy
I think I understand what you mean. I would do this by just using the keyboard to do a ctrl-b after pattern 1 while the song is running and considering that as part of what I need to do during the live performance of this song. You could also edit the song while it's running so that pattern 0 plays ...

Re: multiple instances of BTDsys Peerctrl: good or bad
re-did 200 midi assigns. So far so good. I worried that the 4 instances of peerctrl might put me over the top on CPU. With everything making sound I'm within a few percent of having dropouts. That happened to me when I put in a bunch of instances of peerstate, but I am not having this issue with pee...

Btw, for me, peerctrl reliably crashes at around 230 tracks.
