Re: DAW Control

Right, so currently DAW Control 'Loop Enabled' toggles the button that enables Buzz to loop sequence from beginning (set by CTRL-B in the sequence view) to song end (set by CTRL-E in the sequence view). Is your request to define separate set of "loop beginning" and "loop end" va...

Re: off topic - music videos

Nice picks everyone :) Tinga, that Hiromi video is great, thanks for showing that. Glad you mentioned Octave one, I didn't know about them and their performance is very inspiring! Thanks for the Pixabay recommend Willy. I've played with some footage from archive.org but a lot of it is pretty useless...

Re: MIDI Controller

Onecircles, thanks for the Geist 2 recommendation. Geist allowed me to do in minutes something I've been trying do do either with buzz or with hardware for years: route 8 drum sounds individually to fx sends and eqs! My god, the hours I've wasted trying to make this work. I'm stoked about the abilit...

Re: MIDI Controller

Looks like this only works when PeerCTRL has focus. have you found an easy way to switch machine focus outside of physically clicking on them or using the arrow keys? I wanted to put each zone of the controller into a separate PeerCTRL to keep things from getting overwhelming if I have to go change ...

Re: MIDI Controller

Thanks OneCircles! It's good to be back. :) Of course right after I posted that a bunch of shit came up and I had to put off my project for a bit. :/ I grabbed the Panorama P4 because of it's promise of "deep integration" with bitwig studio. At the time I was looking for a more modern way ...

off topic - music videos

might be fun to start a music video thread. no theme, just share something you like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poIwH8qiyyM Mylene Farmer, Apelle Mon Numero I guess I can't really bring up Mylene Farmer without mentioning Laurent Boutannot's incredible videos for desenchentee and libertine: Des...

Re: Sooooo, is buzz dead again ?

I've been using buzz straight through since 2006. I have a lot of songwriting tied up in it. The layout and routing options in Buzz make it both impractical and foolish to port my songs to a more modern DAW. Honestly, after using Buzz for so long, trying to learn a new DAW I see a lot of way it's l...

Re: Core i7

couple of ways you could go, you could render out the loops with the fx and play them back, that's the oldskool way to do it XD I make most things on a mobile i7 3.2 ghz and don't have any issues, but I don't use that many vst fx. Definitely seems worth the upgrade, but you would probably en...

Polac midi not working

I set buzz up according to this article: http://buzzwiki.robotplanet.dk/index.php/MIDI_in_Buzz But when I play the pattern, no midi output is sent from the audio interface (behringer umc404hd). I tested with reaper to verify that the audio interface is working and does send midi out to the external ...

Re: MIDI Controller

Yeah, looks like a good controller! I don't have any personal experience with that controller, but I do use a piece of akai equipment, an MPD26 that I customized with some stuff from https://www.mpcstuff.com/ But yeah, you got some keys knobs and pads, so you should be able to do a lot. My main rec...

Re: Gear review: Behringer Deepmind 12

It's rare to find a synth demo where someone actually makes music instead of just hitting a key while yammering on about some parameter or another, but this gent makes the synth look really fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkMi_8WKcNM he also makes it look like there is a built in electribe-styl...
