I just cant seem to get any of the vocoders to work.
I put a vocal track from utrk in one channel and then a melodic synth line in the other...
I have tried using vocoderxp and tal vocoder...ive messed around with the inputs etc but i cant get it to even resemble a vocoder

Use LD Vocoder XP, tis much easier - http://batman.no/buze/beta/ld%20vocoder%20xp.dll

You bung the input into it and pop up with a new box asking you whether it's a carrier or modulator (your synth will be the carrier, and the vocals the modulator). Simple !

EDIT: Hmmm, just read that you have used VocoderXP, ignore me then - not sure why it's not working ....

does this setup with vocoder xp work for you ?

ld vocoder xp is quite 'grainy' - my favourite free vst vocoder(s) is(are) Vocovee(& Voco)

... and here the kickdrum bmx with tal vocoder instead of ld's xp
(you have to pan the carrier to the left and the modulator to the right):

There is also slocoder, Fuzzpilz's effects are great, and now i use this vocoder, right click and manage inputs, very easy to use, and of course it's a Fuzzpilz machine, so take care with params

I never got TAL-Vocoder to work with "input mode" enabled either.
However, it comes with a built in modulator, so just use that one.

Hi,

I reopen this thread because I was trying to get my samples to sing with the LD VOCODER XP.
I tried it according to magmavanders youtube video (thanx a lot)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuAEWxnLJUI
But my BUZZ crashs in the moment when I connect the INFECTOR to the vocoder. I do not see the selection popup (carrier...)
I don't know why. Can't get it to work.

The ld vocoder XP is in the effects folder right? Tried different locations.

Yeah, it must be in Gear/effects... Strange that it crashes.
I have made a test with the latest Buzz version and no problem if I connect an infector to vocoderXP.
I have no idea sorry, maybe a missing dll ? Like the msvcr stuff maybe ?
How do you proceed exactly ?

I also think it's a missing dll. Try running dependancy walker.

Hi magamavander,

thank you. I have the same dll as you have.
I downloaded the 70 and 71 dll from the forum and replaced them, same result.
Perhaps I have to reinstall :(

EDIT: Did install BUZZ over the existing installation. Same problem.

Maybe you're missing a Microsoft visual C++ library on your system?

good idea:

the 2015 (for pattern xp mod) version can not be installed because "a newer version is installed".
But pattern xp works fine.

Ok, I dont have the 2017 but I have the 2015.
If you look at the list below, the 2015 version have been installed the same day that I installed Buzz.
Maybe you need the 2015 ?

I did uninstall the 2017 library and installed the 2015. Same Problem.
thanx!

EDIT
I burried out the vocoder of the free mda package and could finally achieve to get a sample to sing, but your demo sound better ;-)
