Do mini-keyboards work in Buzz as a MIDI controller?

Post by Willy »

These things are available on Ali Express and similar websites, are they compatible with (or rather: can they be programmed for) Buzz?

If you can do it on a regular keyboard, you could program this thing to do it. So the workflow would be:
  • check the keyboard shortcut in Buzz documentation
  • program the keyboard for that shortcut

Rather than being MIDI devices, those controllers are essentially programmable mini-keyboards so (as mridlen says) the buttons (and wheel) would get mapped to the equivalent keyboard shortcut using a keyboard mapping utility supplied with the device (will probably have a download link in the manual). I've got a Contour Shuttle and this is what the utility looks like, I'd imagine those two you linked to would be similar in function

What about the knobs though, could I control parameter sliders with them?

Is there a manual for these products? It's hard to give an answer about the knobs without reading the manual.
