ScalaToPreset.exe and conv2m.exe

Post by magmavander »

Can someone reminds me what are these exe (provided with the Buzz Massive Pack from BM.com I suppose) are doing exactly and how to use ? I know what is the Scala goal (microtuning). I know also conv2m.exe is about Farbrausch V2.
But as I'm making some video tutorial about Buzz, I would like to include these "extras" but I'm not sure of what to do. These tutorials are for totally newbies, dont expect some secret techniques...
Thanks!!
BTW : these vids are in french but an english version is planned ;)

Nice! (Are you planning to put them on YouTube? If so, on the third one maybe throw on an annotation box with some good VST/i sites like KVR?)

Have you ever done a tutorial on your drum-programming work flow? Your drum work is always so amazing.

Thanks snow :D

Yeah I think to put on youtube the english version. Sure I will give the kvr link (and the link to Corona at Disco DSP).
About drum programing, I dont know... I just write it intuitively. I dont have a particular method. But yes, maybe it would be a good idea as I like a lot SampleGrid.
A video about Scalewalker is planed, but it will be for newbies, I dont know if it will be very "in deep" as I have to investigate it more :geek:
Any idea about scala to preset

It's just a tool to convert scala presets to Kibibu PeerTune (if 3000 presets are not enough for you, one update by year for scala archive).

Merci Tinga :D

I will try it. As I have crashed my old PC in October, I lost the Buzz setup I have builded thru many years :(
I have to try to reconnect the lost hard disk to see what I can recover but I have not the courage at the moment.
I lost tens and tens of my bmx.
I hope I will be lucky but...
I feel like Oskari when he crashed his hard disk :?

Anyway "La vie continue !"

From time to time it would be wise copying/backing up stuff to external harddisks. Just copying stuff to more than one place. Each month, every two months...

For the curious/forgetful (i.e. me) what is conv2m.exe for?

It appears to take a .v2m song as input, and output the same song, but slightly larger ?
