"Beeping" tone from some machines

Post by fatjake »

I'm trying to get back into Buzz after some long years. I'm running the newest stable version from jeskola.net.

For some reason with a lot of generators I get this beep tone either in place of the expected sound, or in place of one of the notes out of the pattern while the other notes play fine. It's something like an FCC censor tone and I could probably figure out which type of basic waveform tone it is if you need me to (but it's not sine). Is this some new feature because I'm doing some wrong or something? I'm at a loss. If it's not obvious what I'm talking about (I've had this happen with many different generators) I can maybe record it or figure out the waveform and note the tone is. It's always the same note. I just don't know what this is because it's a new behavior to me.
