which audio interface are you using with buzz?

I've had a tascam us144 mk2 for a long time and it has served me pretty well, but i want to upgrade to something with more inputs and outputs. I tried to do this by getting a focusrite scarlett 6i6, and that turned out to be a mistake. no polac asio support and their proprietary asio driver didn't work with buzz; even worse, it stuttered, hiccupped or farted roughly every 2 minutes no matter what i was trying to do with it. it's now a very bright, overlarge paperweight. :(

so in the interest of compatibility and not getting screwed again i'm asking you guys what's working for you!

Some people have issues with USB3,USB3.1 ports, maybe more with USB3.1 because it is newer and the drivers are not updated.

The Yamaha AG03 (AG06 is the bigger brother) is working perfectly for me (i'm only using USB2 and did not test USB3 ports) and it can be used as a standalone mixer too. However i have not read about any driver related problems.

I just bought a Behringer U-Phoria UMC404HD

Although I can't play backing tracks from foobar/VLC/smplayer/WMP anymore, because it locks the sound driver up. I guess I'll have to try vstPlayer instead. Or an iPod type media player hardware.

That's really the only caveat that I've seen, but I needed something that fulfilled my requirements for live performance:
  1. Low latency (5ms or lower)
  2. 24-bit / 192kHz
  3. 3-4 inputs (stereo backing track, click track)
  4. headphone output that can be operated independently of the main out

An old Novation Nio. Works fine. Cheap on eBay and good. And ugly. In a good way.
Doesn't offer 96kHz but I've never tried other than 44.1kHz anyway so I don't know what I'm missing.

I also have the Behringer Euphoria UMC404HD. I'm quite satisfied with it.

thanks everyone :)

ags, that's just bizarre. I tried it on 2 different pcs and spent hours troubleshooting. maybe they just horked up the 6i6 driver. :/

Weird, maybe they've screwed up the 6i6 drivers somehow, I've run Buzz via my Saffire 8i6 for years with no issues (under Polac ASIO)

Motu 2408mk3 + Motu 24 I/O

One cool thing about this setup is that it is capable of outputting DC, so that I can control CV/Gate and eurorack things with it straight from Buzz. I'm running them at 96 kHz which is the maximum.
