... in wine? Could not get it working so far. wineasio is installed, jack installed, everything working, except can not get anything out from buzz 1.2 through those asio machines, be it polac out, polac asio stereo out. Tried many variants. Any tips?

For asio output use the machine called "Polac Audio Out", it's installed with the pvst package. The Polac Stereo Out is obsolete and does not work anymore with the latest Polac Asio waveout driver.

First, polac I really appreciate all your shared great tools, plus your quick response and help here, thanks a lot!

Now, I am using ubuntu 14.04 LTS, wineasio, jack, cadence, catia, buzz 1.2, so an older buzz variant, not the latest buzz 1.5x. Additionally I have also Reaper installed with its ReaRoute ASIO option, because I have read this might have side effects to wineasio as well. In my output list, ReaRoute ASIO shows first, then WineASIO.

What I would like to understand a little better is the relationship of various important files, e.g. for ASIO out usage from buzz 1.2. You have written above 'with the latest Polac Asio waveout driver', is this the same file as 'Polac Audio Out', or another related file? If this is a network of files in certain directories, I should make sure first having the correct versions of each, not too old, not too new.

My first goal is getting ASIO out working from buzz 1.2
My second goal is then getting ASIO out working from buze 0.5.8, for example, and funnily the second goal works almost. Wineasio seemed to work there, but not ReaRoute ASIO.

Which is the latest pvst package where Polac ASIO Stereo Out would work in buzz 1.2?

You see, I do not know much about buzz, its general system yet. It would be a great start, knowing which files are related for ASIO out working in buzz 1.2.
Then be really carefull to NOT CHECK rearoute (ASIO driver) installation. Installing rearoute could result in a conflict with WineASIO.

Thus I deinstalled ReaRoute now.

When I load Polac Audio Out in buzz 1.2, buzz 1.2 is crashing here, so I can not use it.

When I load Polac ASIO Stereo Out in buzz 1.2, it shows only <none> in the output list, so I can not select any ASIO output.
