Hello,
as I said before here, my daughter is student in Game design.
They have their final Masterclass some days ago. I was there ;)
They present the last game they create, Atomic Lemon, and it was done in 4 months. The first part is in english and the first girl who speak is my daughter.
I enjoyed the musical work too. The game seems fun. It's a beat them up.
Of course the game itself is not finished (they were only 9) but this is not the goal here.

About the previous game they made, Red Stained, here is an interview at a web radio of a part of the team, included my daughter but in french :

If you have a PC and a VR HTC Vive you can download and test the game here :

Now my daughter is in Paris in internship for 6 months at the studio Dontnod who create Life is strange :

http://dont-nod.com/

It was hard for her to choose because Ubisoft (Assassin Creed, FarCry, Just Dance, Watch Dogs and so on) wanted her too. They wanted her to work on a Super Mario Game!!...
Finaly she choose Dontnod because she is more interested in Narrative game design. Anyway Ubisoft told her that she can came back whe wants, doors are not closed

I forget the Atomic Lemon Trailer :

Nice!

I worked as a programmer on two games in school and we spent ten weeks on each. Would have been fun to work on a game for 4 months.

Trailer for the second game I worked on.

The first game I worked on has videos only on it's facebook page I think.

Both games were left unfinished. Our teams were between 10-19 people if I remember correct. Ten weeks is way too short for those kind of games.
I was jealous on the musicians, would have been fun to make music for a game. I'm probably better at music than coding anyway, but still chose coding because I thought it's more useful to learn for personal projects.

Nice - I like the mechanic with lining up the segments of the power-ups & reforming them.

puts on corporate hat... Is it made with Unity? We'd probably be interested in hearing about it at @madewithunity account, or via #madewithunity hashtag, etc.

ah cool I didnt know you've been in game too
The games seems cool :)

The work for the final masterclass was not only creating a game but also to work on economy of the game (how much will it cost, how much people needed to work on it, when the game will win money, etc).

I like a lot Red Stained, the previous game they made, an incredible dark VR experience inspired by Giallo films. The famous film director Dario Argento (Master of the Giallo, an italian movie style) is interested by the game. By the way, you can watch a walkthrough here :

Writing music for games is very inspiring as you cant consider it to be linear, so it's a very creative challenge. I think Buzz can be very interesting for game musician.

I think it's made with Unity. I can ask if you want. Do you want her to post on the twitter account about these games ?

Thanks for your interest ;)

We're always interested in seeing what people actually use it for.

Ok I was wrong, Atomic Lemon was done with the Unreal Engine :?
But Red Stained was done with Unity.
She'll have a look and maybe will send something about Red Stained (if she got enough time as she's very busy in her internship).

BTW : are you involved in Unity or Video Game ?

Hi guys,
(sorry for out of topic first, found this about Unreal Engine something)

I would like to ask you ..
My son would like to install "Epic games launcher" on my computer to play some Fortnite game ,which is about 34 GB big data huge ,omg  ,
Image
but I figured out ,there is option to install Unreal Engine ver 5.1.0 ...
Image
Does it worth to install it to my computer? Does it worth for some better visual effect?
Are there some advantages to install this ? Because it is another 20 - 30 Gb space required to install it..
Thanks a lot

Hello T,
I will ask my children but I dont think you need to install Unreal Engine to be able to play Fortnite. Fortnite have been created with unreal.
I will re-install it because it's a fantastic tool for creatin movie and FX or creating games.

I made a few games in RPG Maker, was thinking of doing a 3d game like LSD Dream Emulator with some of my music, I have no idea how to start though. I did some music for games

https://downloads.khinsider.com/game-so ... idiot-game I did Game Over, Hack, Head, and Vector. There were other tracks but those were lost
