synthedit vs synthmaker

Post by KNAR »

Does anyone here have experience with these programs? Ive been using synthedit and its been pretty flexible and able to do pretty much anything I have attempted. grant it, I have been doing some fairly basic stuff because ive only been at it for about a month. The only problems ive noticed with synth edit is that many of the links on the net to modules or peoples sites about it are dead or very out of date. this leads me to belive that maybe people arrent really using synth edit as much as they used to be. Is this because people are using synthmaker now? should i switch over before i invest too much time into synthedit? besides a slicker gui what are the synthmaker advantages?

I use Synthedit myself and haven't tried Synthmaker but it seems better. More modules that I'm missing in SE like drawable oscs and Low-level DSP.
SE is cheaper than SM but if I would have the money I would choose SM. ;)

Hmm suppose I should put the obligatory link to blok - http://www.blokmodular.com/
Just in case people haven't used it.
