MIDI EXPORT problem. Limitations?

Hi guys
I need transfer my all work from buzz to cubase. It is because of impossible to further work way of recording played notes into tracks. If I want to do some voicing (which I need all the time) I need to investigate how a specific tune flows thru different tracks, so if I have to do it with 5 tunes it turns to a nightmare.
I play my ideas on my midi keyboard and I record this into pattern, then edit. So I work different than typing notes into proper tracks from my PC keyboard.
So I decided to export everything to midi and... it doesn't work for me. I tried to export whole song, tracks, to copy notes into midi notes, then export. Even I created a blank pattern XP track and copy notes into it from a machine track. Lenghth of my columns is 4000 or so - maybe it is the cause? Any idea, tip?
