The latest version doesn't work for me either, but I'm on Windows Vista 32bit, the xp version does work though!

I don't know why Visual Studio Community 2013 build a non compatible XP DLL.
So I keep the VC++ 2010 project for XP.
I have added a special XP version to download.

Make sure you use the version of microsoft visual studio that matches the version of Buzz you're using. I was trying the 64 bit version because my OS is 64 bit, and it didn't work.

I'm having a problem though. There's no gear.xml! I'm using 1499, and I've looked everywhere. I have gear_defaults, but no gear.

This is correct.

The one included with buzz is now gear_defaults.xml so it doesn't overwrite your customisations when you upgrade.
Just create a copy, rename it to gear.xml and edit that.

Update :
- Visual Studio 2013 version XP and Vista compatible (no more separate version).
- Chords analyse enhanced.

The chords analyse have been rewritten. It works that way :
- first, analyse if the measure contains 1 chord
- if not, look into each beat of the measure
- if not, look into each row of the beat.
All chords will not be found with this operating mode.
For example, with a measure of 4 beats, a chord starting on beat 3 with a length of 2 beats will not show up.
I choose to favor the use of the measure to find chords.
In the previous example, select a measure of 2 beats, and the chord can be found.

Update :
- Improved minor tonality detection and management : use of the leading-tone note of the minor tonalities (drawn in green).
- Arpeggiator manages "NoteOff".
- Select row : dblclick on the row number.
- Select beat : shift+dblclick on the row number.
- Select measure : Ctrl+dblclick on the row number.

About minor tonality and leading-tone :
The leading tone is the seventh scale degree of the diatonic scale.
For example, in the C major scale, the leading note is the note B (inside tonality).
But in the A minor scale (same notes as C Major), the leading tone is G# (outside tonality).
I added the leading tone of the minor tonalities to the list of "available" notes, and drawn it in green.

About Arpeggiator :
NoteOff can be integrate to arpeggio description (just select the notes as before and save the arpeggio).

Thanks for the update.

Is it possible implementing an automatic data transfer between Pattern XP and Pattern XP mod?
Loading a track and the switching from Pattern XP (with data in a pattern) to Pattern XP mod, all data is gone.
Switching back to Pattern XP, the data is lost then also. :?

Oskari made the 1500 Buzz version for that. Now, it works fine.

Hello Chahur,
yes, it works, but – am I right? – only for the data in PXP-columns, not for the data of a machines parameter column.
For instance KickFSM
The parameter "tone decay time" can only be accessed by data in it's appropriate parameter column and these data is not transferred between PXP and PXP mod. :?

I'm getting an error on start up with build 1500, it says something about "Load Library Jeskola Pattern XP mod.dll failed, the specified module could not be found". Anyone know how I can fix it?

I can confirm the same problem here. I have Buzz 1500. If I switch to xpmod my notes is gone. Melodies lost. Nothing else to do than restart. Shame if you didn't save for a while.

If you overwrite PatternXP, you shouldn't have a message for "PatternXP mod" because it is not used.
Have you got the same problem with PatternXP overwritten ? Does it load ?

To reinstall PatternXP original, download Buzz install from jeskola and do the installation.
