Soundcloud just took down 2 of my bootleg remixes after getting a takedown notice from Sony (both within a few days). As a result I have 2 strikes on my account and downloads no longer work. I'm terminating my Soundcloud Pro Unlimited account and going with DistroKid to get music on Spotify.

looks pretty sweet. do they let you keep your remixes up? nowadays i assume that every monetized distribution service has dmca takedowns.

I'm going to host my bootleg remixes on my private server, and it should fly under the radar enough.

I've found out this has more to do with pressure from the major labels, and it is not Soundcloud's fault.
