Enceladus Equalizer VST / AU (free)
Enceladus Equalizer VST / AU (free)
Slightly off-topic, Buzz considering, but here goes nothing:
I've taken a shot at writing a VST plugin which has a UI.
It's the first one I've ever done, so watch out for noise bursts and instabilities.
If you do try it out, please let me know if everything exploded or not.

Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (early beta)
For me this is not off-topic
Tried the 32bit version a bit. Was stable so far.
Good work.

Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (early beta)
Downloaded but not tried yet, sorry!
Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (early beta)
32bit working nicely here. The only thing wrong is REAPER describes it as "VST: JoaCHIP EQ Enceladus (yourcompany)"
Sounds pretty cool too.

And now also for OSX (including a graphics bug I won't be able to address without buying a Mac myself)

Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (early beta)
i'm a complete zero when it comes to eqing and soundengineering so I can't say too much but I like the way this effect lets me enhance sounds. normally when you use VSTs there tend to be all kinds of fancy knobs that make the effect look interesting and sometimes also easy to overview. I think your VST is very easy to get the grip on and easy to use. Ilike it a lot.
One thing that I would appreciate would be a little bypassbutton next to each section. I know I can set boost to zero but a little button would be very convenient compared to going to zero and then back again to the setting. I tried the 64version and the "dark"button doesn't work. It has with the UI and not the sound to do right?
Is there a manual somewhere saying what the various modes do? I know, "use your ears!!!" But still.

Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (early beta)
Thanks, Anders!
The "dark" mode is typically only audible when using a large amount of drive in the bass area. It has to do with sound only.
Bypass button per band? Good idea. Hardware EQs usually have that too.

Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (beta v50)
I've fixed the weird display bug in the Mac version now. You should see it say version 50 now.
Re: Enceladus Equalizer VST (early beta)
Okay, version 55 now. (Windows VST and Mac AU/VST)
Added a kind of overload peak meter that flashes red when you're using "Drive" too much, causing distortion. And some small level adjustments.
