Recording on Pattern XP

Hi, when playing and recording with my midi controller, in some plugins they are being recorded on built in pattern and some are recorded on Pattern XP and yet I want them all to be recorded on pattern xp. is there any setting where I can adjust the plugin native setting to record them all over pattern xp?
