Depends a bit on what you want to achieve... You need to know quite a bit of C/C++ to move around the plugin interfacing system. After that there will be lots of math to deal with DSP. @Buzztler - Oh I'm not specifically compiling for a version of windows - Blok barely uses any windows API internally beyond opening a window and listening to clicks. I do however like to use the latest instruction sets available in more modern CPU's. Clockrate has remained pretty constant recently.....
