Re: Surge
Renaming a .vst3 to .dll will not work. VST3s do need to be in a specific location to work, however (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 for 64 bit versions and C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3 for 32 bit versions). Is the file in the proper VST3 folder, and is the folder in your PVST scan pa...

Re: Filter envwlop / amp envelope in sampler
Yes! They're in the Wavetable view. The envelope editor will show up when you select the Parameters tab (next to the wave editor tab). Matilde has separate envelopes for Volume, Panning and Pitch, and Unwieldy also has them for filter Cutoff and Resonance. You can find some details (a bit outdated) ...

Re: Juce plugins in bridged mode (pvst)
Well I updated PVST to b35 and Plasmonic started working , but then I exited Buzz and when I tried to start it again later, it crashed on load . After removing PVST and PVSTi dlls from the gear directory, Buzz started up fine (but of course without any VSTs), so I reverted PVST to b31 (...

Re: Juce plugins in bridged mode (pvst)
When running Juce plugins like Valhalla SuperMassive or Rhizomatic Plasmonic... Aside from the GUI stuff, did you have to do anything special to get Plasmonic to work? I've been trying the demo, and Plasmonic won't show up in the Buzz machine list even after a full rescan. It works fine in Bitwig a...

Re: SFZ 2.0
There is a free program for editing and converting between soundfont formats:
https://www.polyphone-soundfonts.com/
Depending on which features of the SFZ format are being used, some parts may not fully translate to SF2, but it's worth a try if you want to use the samples in XS-1.

Re: Note Detector
If you're trying to switch one audio note source between three machines, you could do a workaround using IX Split. Define three layers in Split each with a different velocity range and assign each layer to a different machine, leaving the Velocity Parameter unselected. You could then assign the Note...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Mar-2019)
I think Waves installs its VST shells in their own folder. Mine are in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\WaveShells V10 C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\WaveShells V11 Yeah, even the 64-bit shells are in the x86 directory for me. So if you have those folders, you should be able to either add them to the VST...

Re: buzzfixkit and kibibu doof
Is buzzfixkit and overloader still a viable thing to use with the latest version of buzz running on windows 7? Buzzfixkit seems pretty interesting, having a bunch of buzz related utilities.agreed to haha. Not sure about all the FixKit stuff, but Overloader is definitely only for old Buzz. It was a ...

Re: New Buzz still crashes over missing machines?
One possibility is that the version of the VST being loaded is different from the version used in the original song. If Buzz/PVST is trying to set the value of a parameter that isn't there, maybe that could cause a crash. Also, how did you narrow it down to these specific plugins? Is Buzz throwing a...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Apr-2018)
So I'm noticing this problem pop up (or rather *not* pop up, I guess) more often lately, always with 64-bit VSTs. I've turned on "prevent focus stealing" in the preferences, but it has no effect. ... The menus of these 64-bit vst plugins actually just do not pop up in the 32-bit version of Buzz - i...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Apr-2018)
The menus in TAL Sampler's GUI are unusable. E.g. clicking on the preset name should bring up a menu but the menu disappears instantly. :( The menus work in other hosts so the issue would seem specific to Polac loader, but can someone else test to make sure it's not just me? The demo version of TAL...

Re: Looking for 9x EDM
Another Buzz time capsule: here are all the entries for the Buzz lego compo from 2000, some of which might fit your criteria. My entry (defiance.bmw) was kind of trance-y, at least in the second half. I tested a couple just now, and they work in the current version of Buzz. Since they all use the sa...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Mar-2019)
I'm using 32-bit buzz, so the version that I used was the 32-bit installer. The trojan result is probably a false positive, but even if it's real, that wouldn't be the cause of any issues I had with the 32-bit version of b33. I've seen plugins show up as both instruments and effects before, when I h...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Mar-2019)
I'm seeing the same problems as thOke and HerrFornit - all VSTs duplicated as "Unknown" Instruments and Effects. When I do a full rescan from Global 2, PVST still sees everything as an Unknown dll. Loading a 32-bit VST will work the first time, no matter which version (effect of instrument) I choose...

There is also SpaceVR from Ina-GRM: https://inagrm.com/en/showcase/news/598/nouveaux-spaces (free download near the bottom) It is a bit CPU intensive and fiddly to set up, but it takes up to 32 stereo inputs. Each stereo input corresponds to two "speakers," which you can place anywhere you like in 3...

It's probably also worth contacting Synthmaster's support to see if they can fix it. Buzz is pretty niche, but you're still a paying customer, so maybe they'll put the effort into figuring out what's going wrong.
