Re: Farbrausch V2 GUI

V2 is very cool, and I remember I once had a track I was fond of which used it.
However, when I moved to my current Buzz system, I could never get it to work, so I gave up on it.
So to me, this is no longer a 'whitelist' synth.

Re: Jeskola Tracker - Volume changes do not work

I can't say specifically what's going on in your situation. You could try first isolating the sample, and making sure that it plays. Then try your commands on another sample, to make sure you have them right. If it still doesn't work I recommend you try to re-implement the effect in the original son...

Re: Isolate left and right from a machine?

I use mixio for this usually, but IX strip is another good option. It's pretty much the best channel strip in the buzz ecosystem imo.

Re: EMU 1820 microstutter on win 7

Does your computer meet the recommended system requirements for windows 7? Some things to try, in no particular order: Record at a lower bit rate/ bit depth. Use Polac ASIO plugins where possible. Check your CPU headroom in the buzz performance monitor, if your CPU is going very high, you may have a...

Re: BuzzSetup x64 2022 Edition

I recommend using 32 bit Buzz and windows 7 for maximum compatibility, stability, predictability, but if you're passionate about 64 bit, by all means, good wishes in your endeavor.

Re: Very loud Output in Buzz

Nice, looks really cool. I have a similarly complex setup with a lot of gain staging and distortion. At the end I run everything into a limiter, I would definitely recommend it. The included Jeskola limiter is good, but there are many other good options. I have not yet come to the conclusion that 64...

Here's the archive I did of RobotPlanet in 2019. Still a good source if you want to download amost every Buzz machine, effect etc. in one go. https://mega.nz/file/sVh2HC4b#aiCSB8mivH0V5fbs0MRy5ogNu0yTBm6RIl8c3mvP-1M And here's the archive I did of the Buzz forums around the same time. The forums hav...

nikmis wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 8:44 am sorry this is six months later, you can use modular synthesis with buzz. I have a massive DIY modular and I use it with buzz exclusively. Silent Way VST and a DC coupled interface is the way to go
That's so cool, do you have any more details on how your setup works?

Great to hear. Do you have any issues with latency or sound quality? What setup are you using in terms of audio drivers etc? I hope to build a Nix system oriented around wine/buzz soon.

open source?

Will Oskari ever open source this freeware? It seems there are enough volunteers working on machines etc. that Buzz could see further development if the client were released to us. This software changed my life forever. I know two programming languages C and Python now, I could conceivably contribut...

Re: Buzz doesn't make use of all the processors it could

This feature is highly dependent upon the topology of your signal path. If all your signal paths are highly interconnected, it won't multithread. Turn on the option to visualize which threads are being used. It color codes each machine by thread. Then do some experiments to see how your setup can be...

Polac is literally a god to me. Polac you changed my life. I am not exhaggerating. Thank you and thank you to all the devs. Buzz is still the center of my life, thank you everybody for making this the greatest software of all time. I don't think I'll ever move on.

Re: Machine for sample/sound delay ?

I'd wager that fuzzpilz unwieldy delay can do anything that plugin you linked, and a lot more. It can also be set up as a very nice beat accurate looper. It has 3 channels with filters. Loop time can be set as ms, samples, or ticks per channel. I recently was looking for a cpu-friendly alternative t...

Re: Buzz - Best Software in History

Oh, you know, you're right about pattern colors. That really is a better feature of the newer pattern editor. I have a lot of tracks and if I could color code it, it would be a lot more readable. I use the old pattern editor as you describe, because I can't get my patterns to line up properly anymor...

Polac media VST audio offset

Can I use Polac Media VST > adjust audio > audio offset to make mediavst begin playing an audio file accurately at an arbitrary point in the bmx rather than beginning the audio at the start of the bmx? Is the offset in ticks?

Thanks!

How does a 'sustain' pedal work and is it in the buzziverse?

Hey guys. I'm back at it, buzzing on the daily and closing in on my goal of beginning to perform live in my city with buzz. Anyways I play a classical guitar with delay and distortion, and for certain sections I would like to find some way to increase the sustain of my instrument. The classical guit...

Buzz - Best Software in History

I have been looking through some of my old files, and I realized that I have been working on my default buzz setup, my template BMX that I work from for more than 3 years now! And it just keeps getting better! I am really closing in on my goal with this software at this point. I got stuck for a few ...

buzzfixkit and kibibu doof

I am having problems with kibibu doof, and I tried installing one of the large machine EXE packs that magmavander linked in the recent post about getting all machines. Along with that pack it recommends installing overloader and buzzfixkit. I did as I was told, but that install is now broken, saying...
