Re: new pvst beta (updated 2-Jul-2020)

7F in decimal is 127, so that's correct. but yeah if note off sends velocity 1 instead of 0 it won't work. Oh, definitely. Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I was meaning that since 7F is sending 127, then it's not a situation where "1" really means "0" (I've occasionally seen some 8-bit parameters disp...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 2-Jul-2020)

Can anyone think of a reason why pVST would be sending F#4 instead of NoteOff? there are two ways to define / send note offs in midi: 1) note off messages 2) note-on messages with 0 velocity from midi spec: "A receiver must be capable of recognizing either method of turning off a note, and should t...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 2-Jul-2020)

Can anyone think of a reason why pVST would be sending F#4 instead of NoteOff? I'm sending MIDI data to a KeyStep which then spits out some CV/Gate. Playing the KeyStep directly works as expected - press key, get noise, release key, noise stops - so I'm pretty confident ruling it out as the source o...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

Did I mention the .BMX for the project I was working on was nearly 1.0GB? :D Can confirm there's no need for the question mark - recorded 11 minutes of a test pattern, I did hear a glitch or two but I think it was just Chrome being a momentary resource pig. This one might work eve...

Re: Pattern XP mod

Does anyone have the mod working in Windows 7 64bit? I think some of the WPF stuff is not working for me like the chord generator. Here is what I'm guessing the error is: [WPFTraceListener] BindingExpression path error: 'DecreaseCommand' property not found on 'object' ''PatternControl' (Name='patte...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

There might have been an issue with long recordings. Did I mention the .BMX for the project I was working on was nearly 1.0GB? https://i.imgur.com/o0c3Ldb.png https://i.imgur.com/snvzsFf.png Pretty straightforward though, certainly nothing as intricate as some of the things I see here :) ...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

Thanks Magma and Rav! I'm on Windows 7, 64 bit OS / 32 bit Buzz, so it's definitely not limited to Win10. Tried it on Polac ASIO, Polac DirectSound, and native WASAPI - glitches on all. DirectSound seemed slightly better than the other two, but the glitches were still present and I wasn't very "scie...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

I would just like to provide an update / resolution to my issues on the previous page - it seems the glitching was due to the AudioBlock resampling. Files were originally at 16/44.1, upsampled to 16/96 with the magical right click option. Once I re-resampled the original files in Audacity and import...

Would it be possible to get a complete list of files and registry keys I'll need to delete for a completely-clean reinstall of PVST?

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

Is it normal for Audioblock to use a lot of CPU when rendering audio? I've been seeing CPU Monitor report up to 70%, but only during render - live record is fine. I think 'Render Loop' renders the audio output as fast as possible and thus uses more CPU. I usually use 'Record Loop' because of some m...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

1. Haven't noticed this. You could try different audio driver buffer sizes since there is some locking going on in AudioBlock to avoid thread collision. 2. I tried inversion test using 44.1KHz FLAC file and setting audio interface to 44.1kHz. Result is pure silence as expected. If your audio file s...

Any chance of putting these on Buzzmachines? Dropbox links are 404. Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Mar-2019)

Also, I did an even more rigorous runthrough on the Sonic Charge machines, and figured out exactly how to trigger a "forgotten registration" on the 64 bit versions. I don't think this is the only reason registrations are forgotten (there's reports of Microtonic forgetting its registration on FLStudi...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Mar-2019)

I'll check Serum as I own that too. Steve says i set a wrong parameter value. Usually i'm not saving the values on song saving and I doubt that serum does not save chunkbased. I'll take a closer look. I think the Serum issue is just a symptom of a wider issue where occasionally, for whatever reason...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

I'm beginning to notice a few issues with playback of longer files. 1. .WAV file playbacks are giving me clicks and pops, as if my CPU is heavily taxed. Windows Task Manager doesn't show any particularly heavy load, and the Buzz CPU monitor has AudioBlock at about 3.0% CPU, but the clicks are defini...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 29-Mar-2019)

Polac, do you have any ideas what might cause a particular .BMX file to always crash when trying to load new instances of a specific .VST, when I can load multiple (even dozens) of that particular .VST into a blank project with no crash? Using Buzz 32, on Windows 7 64, and a 64-bit .VST, if that hel...

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

This is such an amazing little instrument, extremely helpful when doing "bounce-downs" (up until now I've been using Fuzzpilz Inp, but that's locked to project samplerate, and can be a bit janky). I was wondering if it'd be possible to add support for .ogg and .flac files? Or is this a Buzz-level li...

Yeah Magma, no worries (and sorry for hijacking this thread a little with tech support). If the plugin wasn't good (when it works), I wouldn't care that it was broken!
