Re: How to load my ancient Buzz songs in the new Buzz
It might be a result of the song using effects so old that the machine .dll files changed their names since that. Because of this, the buzz machine site offers the old versions as well. I don't know if anyone wrote a tool to show which .dll files are required by a .bmx file, but a hex editor will s...

Re: How to load my ancient Buzz songs in the new Buzz
you can get the missing machines from here: http://buzz.robotplanet.dk/ i got almost all of my old tracks to open in new buzz, so just fiddle with it and ask more specific questions when you dont get a particular machine to work, we can most likely get it to work. OK so many of the machines which a...

How to load my ancient Buzz songs in the new Buzz
Hi again people, OK so I resurrected my old hard drive from my computer that I was using 2003-2009, and on it all the Buzz Songs that I had created. However when I try to load these songs in the latest version of Buzz, 98% of the machines have a red "missing" sign on them and the songs are...

The answer (broken down for dummies like me)
1) Download the Polac VST Loaders for Jeskola Buzz from here: http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/ Most people recommend the 32 bit version of Buzz, in which case, click "Download (x86)" (x86 means the 32 bit version) 2) Once you have downloaded these, follow magmavander's instructions for where to...

Thanks polac! I got it working
I'm guessing you mean when I right click on 'polac vst' a list pops up - then I click on 'Midi send'. However it then says "Midi out port" is "not supported by plugin", and "Machines" says "no plugin loaded". (My midi interface is an 'Edirol UM-1X' usb midi i...

If anyone can help with this question, please do
I'm on the verge of getting creative again, I just need to sync Buzz up with the rest of my system.
But I'm still trying to work out how to use Polac devices to control external hardware.
Which of the ten Polac machines should I use, and how?
Cheers people!
Peace

Step by step guide for a retard?
Hi again people, Thanks for your help on this! OK so I have solved the 'asio initialization failed' problem I was having in the other post. I am now able to see the config screen pop up when I click on polac asio in the preferences. So now I'm back to this question: how do I send play/stop/pause mes...

Re: Polac Asio issue: "Asio initialization failed"
Have you by any chance used different soundcards or drivers? http://forums.jeskola.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2152 I may have done so, am not sure. However I followed synthphase's advice and that worked. Now I'm gonna to move to my second dumb question, which is: "How to use polac's invention...

This was it!
I ran into this problem the other night. Don't know what the driver is looking for but I have two soundcards and was unable to hook up the old one which is usually the fix if deleting the key doesn't work. Even searched my registry for the offending soundcard and deleted all entries. Simply copy th...

Re: Polac Asio issue: "Asio initialization failed"
btw, what is so difficult about extracting a zip file into the root directory of buzz that this would require a video tutorial, i just dont get it.. The folder structure in the zip is exactly how it should end up in your buzz root directory, no fiddling neccessary. The video makes this needlessly c...

Re: Polac Asio issue: "Asio initialization failed"
could you open preferences, select polac asio for your waveout driver, hit config, and take a screenshot? then post it here? it should look something like this: When I hit config is when the error pops up, so I never get to see the settings like in your picture. (The audio driver options I describe...

Re: How to set up Buzz to control external hardware via MIDI
Imo best way for external midi output is to use one of my waveout drivers like polac asio or wdm. Then you can use polac vst to send midi to your external midi devices. You find and select your midi devices in polac vst via MIDI submenu. Also deselect all midi outputs in the buzz preferences to be ...

Polac! The man himself!
It's odd that it does not work with asio4all, it's working here without a problem. Some things you could try out: - disable the midi output "microsoft gw wavetable synth" in the buzz preferences - remove the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Jeskola\Buzz\Polac ASIO\DriverName via re...

How to set up Buzz to control external hardware via MIDI?
Hi people, If anyone could shed some light on this for me that would be greatly appreciated. I can't see anything about this in the midi section of the manual! http://buzzwiki.robotplanet.dk/index.php/Configuring_Buzz#MIDI_Output I would like Buzz to be in sync with all the other external stuff I us...

Another thing I am wondering
Do I even need "Polac Asio" to send Midi messages out of Buzz and to external hardware? Or might there be some other way? If Polac Asio is a 'soundcard' then I don't think I would need that in order to send midi messages, I would just need that to send audio from my laptop to an audio inte...

Re: Polac Asio issue: "Asio initialization failed"
i assume you have the latest version from from http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/ did you click "config" after that error popup comes up? you should still get into the polac config dialog, tell us what you see there (is the asio driver list populated etc?) Hi UNZ, thanks for the response. Yes, I...

Polac Asio issue: "Asio initialization failed"
Greetings to the Buzzards of the world! I used to use Buzz back in the day, it was the first music software I came to learn and I’m keen to resurrect it. I have a question I was hoping I might get some help with. I want to be able to sync buzz with other external hardware via MIDI, using Buzz as the...
