Re: High resolution

Yes, the 24 bit resolution seem to be more important (and more agreement) than a higher sample rate. As I understand, it depends also from the used soundcard/audiointerface. Here the ASIOforAll view of my SteinbergUR12, it has 24 bit . Don't know if BUZZ does use it all the times? Perhaps it depends...

Re: High resolution

Oh, professional production is an other story,

(24bit/96 kHz for premastering is often recommended. Only amateur knowledge, some one else should tell ... )

Perhaps it depends on the skills/wishes of the guy who does the mastering ...? ;)

Let us know ;)

Re: High resolution

Perhaps downsampling makes sense, internally 96 kHz and then downsampling to 44.1/48 ? Personally I use 44.1 all the times, because of compatibility reasons to (freeware) plugins, sometimes they are capable to handle max 44.1 kHz. So I don't have to care about all that .... ;) I dont hear the diffre...

Re: Prehistorical electro (Buzz in the 60's)

Hey, yes, really, some sounds remind to buzz synths. Really avantgarde.

In the nineties a friend of mine had a sampler named "Acid sampler, the 60ies", perhaps silver apple had a song on it. But as I remember the songs of it were a bit more full of guitars and melodic. Who knows .... ;)

Ninjam: Making connected online "live" music - got experience?

Hi, today I stumbled upon the freeware for making live internet music. I knew that Steinberg has a commercial software for that, but dint know that kind of "Ninjam" software: https://www.kvraudio.com/product/abninjam-by-antanas-bruzas there are others. Does somebody has experience with such software...

Cool. When the chord list is ready, you could do a piano version, too?

Re: Timeline

You can change the timecode in Audacity, HerrFornit. There's a bunch of formats to choose from. I have my copy of Audacity set for SMPTE - i.e. HH:MM:SS.FF (frames) - again, because I'm used to it & I'm sometimes processing audio for video projects I'm working on. Yes, thank you. With the new versi...

Re: Note Detector

thank you. OK its an external algorithm. In the discussion you linked I have found: "The description says the algorithm can detect up to 3000 times per second. However, looking at the source code, the PitchRecordsPerSecond property seems to be capped at 100. Thread #644743 | Message #1443664 | 2015-...

Re: Note Detector

The algorithm needs some audio data before it detects the note. That introduces latency. OK, I see. It is a matter of DSP then. You need a certain minimum window? The shorter the window the less secure is detection? Could be a kind of speed parameter of NotDetector ?. I tried to have a live second ...

Re: Note Detector

Also a very nice machine !! I always get a latency between note sending machine and the receiving machine, getting notes by note send. It in the range of ca. 100-200 ms or so. Why is this? In this example the guitar is driven by your GuitarChordBox, NoteDetection sends to 4FrontPiano. Get latency in...

The Headline is always "G7". Shouldn't it change as works as chord detection?

I noticed also that when you load a machine in Polac VST (Infector here) that some parameters are greyed and some are not in place, like ghost parameters, and seems like visual glitches.

Yes, a bit strange, you can move the sliders anyway. Perhaps polac knows .. ;)

Re: Timeline

Feature request: A way to specify the timecode format used (examples: SMPTE, HH:MM:SS:MS, MM:SS:MS (Default), etc…). Perhaps selectble in Machine Attributes? With my background in Video Production, I seem to relate best to SMPTE timecode. But I'm sure other people prefer other formats. yes. Audacit...

Re: Timeline

You probably did limit the lower tick range to 32 due to the little display space for time numbers? In the highest zoom level in sequence view, you can easily see all numbers with 16 ticks. (for 8 ticks you can see at least the seconds, would also be better than nothing ;) ) TimeLine16.jpg Does it c...
