Re: AMD or Intel

thanx temporalsounds and UNZ for links and explanaitions. :) OK, you could use BUZZ with W11. Hmm, actually my plan was to change OS at the end of support in 2025. But if I buy a new PC I have to change perhaps to W11 earlier. I wait defiitily for Ryzen7000 and DDR5 this year and the some price drop...

Re: AMD or Intel

that GPU audio approach is fascinating. Unfortunately my Radeon 7790 is not supported.. OK. Actually it looks like this. If you use buzz as daw you have to use windows 10, because there is no windows 11 version of buzz. w11 is needed for scheduler. then its probably better not to have Alder Lake p+e...

Re: AMD or Intel

Hey Temporalsounds, yes, I am interested indeed. ;) thanx. Powerconsumption is increasing :ugeek: by cpu generations, although the power per watt is still decreasing. As I remember my xeon 1230v3 needs similar watt as your sytem under hi performance. untervoltet -0.12 V by the way, gives minus 10 de...

Re: AMD or Intel

Hi UNZ, long time ago.... thanx for returning to this threat ;) Do you mean Ryzen7000 (new AVX512). I remember in an earlier threat, that you mention that even VST plugins hardly use it, but nice to have anyway of course. For me, BUZZ and VST is as important, too. MOst VSTs are optimized for Intel? ...

Re: AMD or Intel

As the new CPU design of intel is there with performance and erfficieny cores I ask my self if there is any experience in the buzz community (with buzz and the new CPU design). If so, I am happy if you share it here :) I think Intel has still some single core advantage, what is a bit more important ...

Re: Connection Mixer Console

Can you rename the channel labels inside cmc ? That is a little disadvantage in mixIO. I use x3 (?) leveling by the way so can you set it in cmc, too? To rename the labels you need to rename source and/or destination machine name. CMC use same leveling as in connections. ok.I see. So its as in mixI...

Yes I agree, excellent work. Many styles incoorporated, oriental, chinese ... and renaissance like, I enoyed very much. "The march of the damned" and the song before are my favs after first listening.

Re: AMD Rysen worth it

yeah, what you can read it is a Win10 under the hood, so it should all run, it SHOULD ... ;) originally it was planed as a major update for Win10, you know. Perhaps Oskari is doing an new version for Win11, but I don't believe in that honestly :(

Re: [solved] Crackling sound!: What is ASIO buffer 2+3 (async)

yes, "...machine wins over what it loads...", indeed. But when I load Abelton or Cubase I think to myself, "how to get an workflow here, it's so overloaded!", hell, what it is not, I admit, just habit in majority... (and laziness  )so I stay at buzz :P

Re: [solved] Crackling sound!: What is ASIO buffer 2+3 (async)

yeah, can confirm. I use polac's incredible and still supported vst loader. Well, anywhere on my drive there is a free Abelton live and Cubase LE version. So theoretically I could test some vsts. But you know, the strength of bozz (and weakness at the same time) is the sparse GUI, so have the orient...
