Re: Will Buzz ever go commercial/get updated?
I am surprised that you go from Buzz to Ableton, Beuze, I was amazed at how crappy the interface of Ableton looks, i.e. the basic design of it, the tiny thin buttons, the strange use of their own (terrible) font rendering, and everything about it I absolutely hate. I can't believe they can release a...

Re: Can I mute a pattern but play the synth?
Hi Polac, thanks for that solution as well, that's really handy, as I normally use VSTs for just about everything in Buzz.
And can I just say a huge thank you for all the work you've done on the VST loader, it's incredible.

Re: Can I mute a pattern but play the synth?
Hi Joachip, thanks very much for that solution, that works perfectly for me, and it's almost always in a melody or bass pattern that I need it, so I only have to mute one channel and move to the next, CTRL-0, and that's it, nice and easy.

Samples not playing properly in tracker
Hi, I've been using Unwieldy Tracker, and also Jeskola Tracker, and found that they are playing back drum samples in a very strange way. I'll try to make a demo file so you can hear the difference, the sample sounds fine on the Wavetable View page, but when I play it in the pattern it sounds like it...

Suggestion: note preview in pattern editor
Hi, I've been playing with FL Studio for a few days and the good thing about the piano roll (and I much prefer a tracker) is that I can click the mouse anywhere and hear, and see, the note that is going to be played, and then only when I let go of the mouse button is the note laid on the track. Woul...

Can I mute a pattern but play the synth?
Hi, often when writing a song I want to be able to temporarily mute a pattern, while playing the VST that is used in it, using the keyboard, so I can try out an alternate melody - is it possible to do this without deleting the pattern from the Sequence Editor temporarily? i.e. there could be a butto...

Thanks for the tutorials, can you make them in HTML format too? It's more accessible for people than PDFs.

Re: Will Buzz ever go commercial/get updated?
This has been brought up so many times before on forums over the years. It's hard to expect a big commercial amount of work on a program made by (mostly) one person in his spare time. Oskari, for his own reasons, has kept it freeware and done thousands of hours of work on it, without really asking ...

Re: What´s your reason to use Buzz
My reasons are the same - the Sequence Editor, being able to just press 'Enter' to go into the pattern I am on, and then 'Enter' to go back to the Sequence Editor, being able to enter numbers or letters on the keyboard to enter a pattern in the Sequence Editor, all the while you can rename them all ...

Re: Can't search for 'Pattern XP'
Many thanks, I will use that from now on. I know that some other forums offer a Google search at the top of their own search page, because of this strange problem. I supposed the indexing is more difficult if the board software uses words with fewer than four letters or something, but in the world o...

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?
It doesn't matter whether Image Line are "assholes". Everything else is completely irrelevant as far as my example goes. As far as YOUR example goes, yes.... So you're saying that because you can't face reality, and dislike Image Line, I can't use FL Studio as an example to make my point?...

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?
Yes, I would pay for Buzz if it went commercial. That would also spell a different lifestyle for Oskari as it would become a business. The bottom line is that we all love Buzz here, and we all would also love to see more features. That would save time from bouncing back and forth between different ...

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?
Okay - how about this. Wouldn't it be good if Oskari, (together with Polac if necessary), developed a new version of Buzz that had built in VST support, and could (obviously) play samples in the tracker, and that was it. No old Buzz generators or effects,. Buzz Machines minus Buzz Machines equals.....

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?
Just to give you an idea of where FL Studio was about 14-15 years ago. same shit as 15 years ago, made by the same assholes as 15 years ago (who stole buzz machines). stop taking FL as an example, if you knew anything about buzz history you wouldn't bring this up as a good example. FL and Imageline...

Just to give you an idea of where FL Studio was about 14-15 years ago Clue : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image-Line#Staff Umm... that isn't where Image Line was 14-15 years ago, is it... Obviously a successful company is going to take on more staff... Do you think they started off with that many s...

Re: Would you pay for commercial Buzz?
I agree, I think a Kickstarter project would be really successful. Imagine if Oskari got White Tie to design a skin for it too, it would look incredible, and be incredible. I think it's fine for it to still support all the Buzz machines, ignore what I wrote before about just having VST support, the ...

Re: Will Buzz ever go commercial/get updated?
@ Mosis This might sound a bit stupid but "integrate VST support"? In what way are you not able to use your VSTs as you like? I meant make it so that newbies don't have to intall Polac, make VST support integral to the Buzz code itself, either using Polac 'built in', so to speak, or just ...
