Re: FSM Infector crashing?

The reason why I am thinking it's the Infector is because whenever one of the crashing songs loads, that's always the last machine I see loaded before Buzz halts and crashes. Maybe I should try to get a dump report?

Re: FSM Infector crashing?

Usually it's just a delay or a gapper. I use GoaSlicer2 a bit, and I thought maybe if I swapped it for a different gapper it might solve the problem, but apparently not because I tried to load the song I swapped it out on later and it crashed again. The weird thing is, I don't always have the proble...

FSM Infector crashing?

Anybody else having issues with songs that have FSM Infector crashing Buzz when you try to load them? I have the most recent version that was on Buzzmachines (I downloaded it again and overwrote my existing one anyway).

Re: Vocals - beating it to fit (and painting it to match)

I appreciate all the input you've been giving me. What I have mainly been using this technique for is doing remixes of other tracks. I tried doing the time-stretch thing with Utrk, but apparently I'm doing it wrong or it's not designed to work in that fashion (I am trying to keep the original pitch ...

Re: wavetable editor question

it depends on your installed buzz build and theme. with the dark theme i am also not able to zoom since build 1453. works with default theme though. You know, I was wondering about that myself...that explains a bit. Unfortunately, that probably also means I'll have to do all my editing in Audacity ...

Then adjust tempo to get to original pitch (if the loop is chopped/cut correctly, i.e snapped to grid).
Adjust the main tempo or adjust it somewhere else?

Re: Hard Disk Recorder Render Loop strangles Buzz upon finis

afaik the problem only comes up when you disable the actual song looping (toolbar icon). when it is enabled while using Render Loop then the file gets written correctly. ...and now that you bring it up, I'm pretty sure I turned the loop off each time I recorded (naive fear that it wouldn't stop at ...

I'm sorry...I meant to answer this question a lot earlier, but I opened Buzz and promptly started working on tracks and forgot why I opened it.

Thank You

I know I ask a lot of questions, many of which have probably already been covered (on Buzzchurch, unfortunately), and I want you all to know that I greatly value and appreciate all your input, because it makes me a better composer and producer. Thank you all for all the questions you have answered, ...

...aaaand here we go. Nothing weird in playback, but I was able to reproduce the same error (Open Hard Disk Recorder, open Browse to change saved file name, click Render Loop, wait for Buzz to finish rendering, close Hard Disk Recorder, resave BMX to make sure I have latest changes and then click Ne...

Vocals - beating it to fit (and painting it to match)

I thought I would pick your brains regarding how you all work with pre-recorded a cappella vocals. Specifically...say you have an a cappella vocal that you want to work into a track that is considerably faster or slower, but you want to keep the vocal at the same pitch. What I have been doing is usi...

Hard Disk Recorder Render Loop strangles Buzz upon finish

Under Buzz build 1462 on Windows 7 (32-bit), I tried to write a track to disk with the Render Loop function of the Hard Disk Recorder. When it reached the end of the render and the buttons unghosted, I went to try and add an ID3 tag to the WAV file. Windows said the file was still in use, even thoug...

Best panning techniques

I have discovered that a major technique I have been overlooking is panning various inputs to help compensate for the muddiness caused by excessive instrumentation. So I have been going back over my work (for the Nth time) and adjusting the position of things in the soundstage. However, I almost alw...

Having the dumb again, re:multi in/out routing

OK. Basically I'm trying to setup a track in which all of the machines use the same delay effect except for one. However, I still want to be able to have a meter on each machine input so that I can adjust the volume balance in comparison with the other machines. The way I'm attempting this is by plu...
