FWIW, I would pay to keep Buzz alive (and have already done so to an extent). I think Buzz deserves more attention, and should be just as popular as Ableton Live, Reaper or Renoise. Yes they were, and I have discovered from variations on my original search that I wasn't the only one having this issue with Windows 8.

UPDATE: Figured out a cheap fix. I just copied the Songs directory into a subfolder of My Documents (copied so I have backups). Enh. It works.

My previous laptop suffered a CPU socket failure and I had to replace it, so I've gone from Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 8 64-bit. BONUS QUESTION: I have noticed that when changing presets in a generator, it resets the MIDI Channel so I have to reconfigure it each time. Is this just because it's a preset option or could this be a glitch?

EXACTLY. It's just the VST machine with a simple delay into JedShivaMeter. Every time I put something between that piano and the Master now, it does that.
