Re: Buzz at 20
I've gone through a few dozen things from 1999-2000 now. About half of them crash on opening, have some ancient VST adapters (which I absolutely refuse to deal with anymore) missing, or just have some weird things going on I can't be bothered to fix. And basically all of them are shit I'd never want...

Well, I'd rather not have you do a lossy -> lossy conversion from ogg to mp3, so here's an mp3 from the original wav.elekt wrote:I'll convert the file.

I'll see about the snippets but won't promise anything yet :)

Re: Buzz at 20
Well, here's my winning entry (from a massive 2 participants) from the old Buzzchurch The Hymn Compo in December 2005. This was actually an unofficial round of the contest. I cleaned it up a bit today, mainly fixing a huge DC offset in the Guru5 doing the bassline. Also put a rather crude limiter on...

Re: Beta test please? (New Mars algo)
It probably wouldn't be hard to do. Does anyone else have opinions on this? As ags said, an attribute (that defaults to off/current behaviour) would probably be the best option, also for backwards compatibility. I also found out that using your Tool machine, both the DC remover, and Sample diff. se...

Re: Beta test please? (New Mars algo)
On another Mars-related topic, the battle axe mode seems a bit (no pun intended) brutal as it chops off all negative sample values, leaving the signal with a rather significant DC offset, which I imagine isn't a very "healthy" output signal (do correct me if I'm wrong here of course). Of c...

or if I could get PeerCtrl to work - Assignment Settings doesn't seem to do anything You probably don't have envelope.ocx properly registered. If you're comfortable using the command prompt (run as admin): regsvr32 buzzdir\envelope.ocx (assuming that envelope.ocx is already in your Buzz root dir, a...

Re: Beta test please? (New Mars algo)
The bass slider in cannon mode is a bit weird. Seems like turning it down (as in to -127) lowers the (hard?) clip threshold instead of doing a bass cut (as in different ways in the other modes).
The treble slider works as expected.

Re: Switching to Buzz with zero knowledge, HELP!
The first problem I faced while doing this is, that as I am done recording automations for a single machine, I go back to the start and press record again only to find that parameters of my recorded machine start from where I left them. This is because parameter values are recorded only when they a...

Re: Switching to Buzz with zero knowledge, HELP!
Nvm turns out, I am an idiot  . I was trying to automate without making a blank pattern for effect machines, just realized that automation values need a places to record. Remember that you can use multiple columns for a machine in the sequencer, and when you're recording automation the values...

Welcome back! Thanks, although I might just crawl back under my rock and come back in 2020 again :D (paranoid old Buzz habit!) Well if there's one thing Buzz taught me, it's "save early, save often, save whenever you add something significant, keep multiple copies, unexplainable weird shit mig...

Re: bmw saving bug
.bmw files don't save the wav inside the .bmw file, they are just referenced to the folder you loaded them from. Of course I know that, did you even read what I wrote? As in: "the first time you save a .bmw the wavetable samples aren't saved in the file (as it's supposed to do), but subsequent...

Well, I never finished said remix (not exactly a surprise) but I opened the last version today just out of pure interest and fiddled around with it a bit.

Add tracks to the PeerCtrl to control more params :)onecircles wrote:I can only assign one parameter from the machine to peer control.
And you can also assign more than one param per track (read the docs, everything's in there).

Re: How to control Buzz with MIDIcontroller? (Novation noctu
Ah, but if you control a peerctrl what does the display say? If you're using Automap? If you're using the advance mode? You're not using Automap to control native Buzz machines. You do it via MIDI like with any other controller. Automap is for VST(i)s (and RTAS but that has nothing to do with Buzz)...

You don't control native machines via Automap so, no, you can't rename their params.AndersBrontosaurus wrote:Ah. Is it also possible to name parameters for native machines. I've tried some vst's but I always seem to find a native one I prefer more.

Re: How to control Buzz with MIDIcontroller? (Novation noctu
I tried to use more than one peerctrl and it seems to work. Don't say I didn't warn you if things break later on, and your song gets corrupted and impossible to load :) what's it like to use a Novation zero? Can you name the parameters yourself for the displaywindow? Correction: I have a 49SL MkII....

Re: Shortcut for adding controllers?
I think I've said this before, but forget the built-in MIDI assignments and use PeerCtrl instead. Much more flexible and you can assign and deassign controls as you wish.
Just remember: one PeerCtrl per song, use 2 or more and it'll end up in disaster later on. And remember to RTFM :)

Re: How to control Buzz with MIDIcontroller? (Novation noctu
I took a quick look at the Nocturn manual and it seems the MIDI stuff works a bit differently than on the SL MkII, so unfortunately I can't really help more than this. Have a look at the manual and you'll probably figure it out :) When I try to add controller nothing happens when I touch the knobs o...
