Re: Subpatterns wa?

I've used sub-patterns for poly-rhythm stuff, e.g. whet I've got a beat in 4/4 but want a fill in triplets or want a 3-against-4 pattern. It's pretty easy to use. Just create another pattern like normal and trigger it from the 'parent' pattern using the sub-pattern controls, just like you would with...

Re: Best way of recording/rendering from Buzz to e.g. Reaper

There is also an unsupported and old version of Buzé that can operate as a VSTi within Reaper, but in that case I think you only get one stereo out. !!! Any more info on this, e.g. links? This has been my white whale for some time - getting a tracker I like working as a vsti in Reaper has turned ou...

Re: Buzz as midi slave

I was looking into something similar a while back:

In the end I didn't get very far with the problem. For my purposes I just work around it.

Nice one!

Yeah it's a great tool and while not perfect, brings me a little bit closer to my dream DAW setup where trackers and Reaper-style DAW functionality exist harmoniously side-by-side...

Re: Can I record sounds from Mic straight into Buzz?

Audiotrack will do that. It's not fancy but it works:

Check the links in my post in that topic, 2nd bottom post.

Re: Buzz / DAW sync

Thanks for the advice all. I had some success getting Buzz audio into my DAW using Virtual Audio Cable and ASIO4ALL. I set up MSync but it reported that I was using a bad TPB setting in Buzz, even though my TPB was on 4 - one of the acceptable values according to the documentation. So I dunno what's...

Buzz / DAW sync

Hi all, SOS! I have been looking for some way of syncing a tracker with my DAW of choice (Nuendo in this case). I am a Buzz user so it makes sense that I go with what I know, but I can't figure out whether such a link (clock / bpm / start & stop) would be possible. I have also explored using Red...

Re: handle multiple analogue In&/Outputs

Hi, good work getting that far! To my knowledge I don't think you can use audiotrack as a multi-tracker or like a loop pedal. As you point out it only allows one active take/path in a pattern. To play multiple audiotrack takes you'd need multiple audiotrack machines. Also, rather than looping over a...

Re: what do you guys use for multitrack drums?

Glad I could help!

I just tried 24 bit wavs in mtrk3 and it worked fine. Pretty sure that between that and the new wavetable we've now got an audio format shangri-la.

Re: what do you guys use for multitrack drums?

I go with Matilde Tracker 3 (1.10 rc1): http://buzzmachines.com/machineinfo.php?id=1057 For my songs, I use a track or two for each drum, which I multi-out through MT Nada's then group together again into MixIO for levels, panning, etc. (since I don't think buzz allows multiple outs/ins between only...

Re: I tried to answer this myself so I wouldn't look foolish

One mtw needs to be the last machine in the chain connected to the master. Make sure in parameters, it is set to "Record: Yes" and of course the output type and path must be valid. Have a start and stop bit mtw patern set at the beginning and end of your session (sounds like you're already...

Re: BTDsys audio track

Hey! From the sounds of it you're just using Audiotrack as a way to play samples or snippets. That's cool, though you could just as easily use the wavetable and any sample tracker (Matilde, etc.), though you wouldn't get the pretty waveforms in the sequencer view. Audiotrack is intended to be a tool...
