Re: ReBuzz

You only need the x64 version. Also just unpacking the zip to ReBuzz folder doesn't work. You have to put some files to the bin64 folder. Here for example you have to put the machines.x64.dll which does the vst scanning: C:\ReBuzz\bin64\Gear Yeah I noticed I had to play a bit of detective work to m...

Re: ReBuzz

Just updated rebuzz to the latest version and then added todays release of Polac (b45) to it as I saw the existing vst loader is from August last year, and it still takes about 3 minutes to fully load and then about 2 minutes to add any VST2 or VST3. In comparison booting up 'regular' buzz only take...

Re: ReBuzz

Does ReBuzz get an update when Polac posts a new version of the PVST loader (like today which specifically lists reBuzz loader improvements), or is it still best to manually update the version of PVST after updating rebuzz ?

(and if so, do we grab the x86 or x64 version ... or both !)

Re: New tracker - Ultra DAW

Still needs a few more hours baking in the oven I think. Adding a VST2 folder path through the file browser instantly causes the app to terminate, adding the paths manually is OK but then it doesn't actually scan them ! The Amiga mouse pointer replacement is a fun touch, though I'm not 100% sold on ...

Yep it does, it uses Max for all its major functionality so basically has the same plugin support as what Max does. Managed to finally get noises from it yesterday but might be a bit too complicated for my stupid brain

Re: New tracker - Ultra DAW

Seems like there was an update yesterday with initial VST3 support ( http://mak-sa.net/software/2025/05/11/vst3-and-clap-plugins-now-supported/ ) has anyone tried it yet ? Last week someone also told me about this project from James Holden (only time I've ever heard Buzz mentioned outside of forums ...

Re: ReBuzz 1782

I get a final error, saying that an xml cannot be written to harddisk. This might be a Windows Defender thing - ReBuzz is probably trying to write a config file to your user documents folder which is protected by default to prevent ransomware encrypting the folder Try turning off controlled folder ...

Re: New tracker - Ultra DAW

It does look really good, I wonder why it's only available through email ?

Definitely would be intrigued to use it - though no VST3 support for a new DAW seems a bit strange given VST2s SDK discontinuation by Steinberg , hopefully it'll come sometime in the near future

Re: ReBuzz

Thanks for looking into this, I'd love to get back to Buzzin' again - for the past few years I've leapt to the dark side (Ableton) To confirm the vst3 loader is being called this many times on just loading up reBuzz to a blank project, unfortunately as reBuzz doesn't appear to write anything to the ...

Re: ReBuzz

Odd, never had problems with the vst3shells in old Buzz and also ReBuzz and I had hundreds of vst3's installed. I even had some tweakings to speed up the scanning of the vst3shells. In older loaderversions it could take some minutes on first scan though. For some reason it seems to be a doing a ful...

Re: ReBuzz

If it would be possible to save a bmx with used machines into a zip file an reload the bmx into ReBuzz by using the same zip file as a termporary gear folder? That's a great idea, though for compatibility maybe have it as a new file type. So you could have .bmw - Song without samples .bmx - Song wi...

Re: ReBuzz

Does the debug console only show what ReBuzz does until the Machine View has loaded? The minute or two boot time seems to be a result of 'UIGetInstrumentPath: C:\Program Files\ReBuzz\Gear\Vst\vsti3shell.x64.dll' getting called nearly 2000 times every time ReBuzz gets launched(1868 times to be precis...

Re: Modern Sequence Editor

OK I did a google of this forum (couldn't search for .net using the search as there were 'too many results')Audioblock needed .net 4.5.2 so I'd suggest at least that version to try first (it's in the 'Out of support versions' section of the page I linked above ... but as I say if v4.8.1 works on you...

Re: Modern Sequence Editor

Woah, which OS is that 2000 or XP with classic theme? My guess is maybe maybe you need to install a newer build of the .net. framework maybe (not sure which one will support your OS but here's the link to them all - https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework - if the top one works ...

Re: ReBuzz

Googled that specific error code and it looks like it's due to missing libraries, most probably (knowing Buzz) it'll be some Visual C++ runtime libraries

Try grabbing this and installing the x64 version to see if that sorts it - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downloa ... x?id=26999

Re: ReBuzz

This sounds like the same issue I’ve hit with the recent versions of the vst loaders. It’ll be the number of VST3 plugins you have. You may find if you remove the vst3 shell plugin it’ll load quickly again Think you're right - just seen your message here: https://forums.jeskola.net/viewtopic.php?p=...

Re: ReBuzz

Tried last night before bed, not sure if it froze or was still scanning my VSTs but after 50 minutes still on the splash screen with little/no activity on my harddisk light I launched Task Manager and had to force-close the app @wde - Not sure if it's possible, but would there be any way of making t...
