The Buzzmachines.com aka web.hibo.no Preset Files
Did anybody archive the presets from Buzzmachines.com (either more recent or earlier from web.hibo.no) before they went down? I haven't been able to find my drive with the .prs files I used to use and especially for FSM Infector, I'm definitely missing them. If anybody has them saved locally or ther...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 05-Dec-2012)
It's possible the issue is related to feedback. I tried some additional ports. *All the loopBE ports - crashes the program. *Internal MIDI (x64) - seems to be okay, at least for the very short period I tested. *Out to MIDI Yoke 1 - 1) Sometimes gives me a warning "MIDI Feedback detected", ...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 05-Dec-2012)
Hmm, works fine here, I'm outputting to external midi device which reacts to midi clock start/stop here. I'll try the LoopBE later. Did you add a midi device lately to your setup? This could cause such crashes if you do not rescan the midivst.dll again. You can rescan a shell vst separately via pre...

Jeskola QSine and Polac VSTi
Is there a way to load Jeskola QSine with the Polac loaders as is possible with older Buzz generators? I notice that it doesn't indicate a path, unlike most of the Buzz machines. I have lots of tracks that used PVSTi 1.1 to load synths that I would like to replace now and QSine is really CPU efficie...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 05-Dec-2012)
Whenever I set "MIDI Clock" to "On" it seems to crash Buzz. Here are a few things I have tried so far using midivst to output to "loopMIDI port" from LoopBE. - Make sure "Process With Fixed Blocksize" is checked - Make sure that I am running a Polac ASIO outpu...

Re: Hard disk recorder modes, int32 vs. float32?
I don't have much to add about dithering, I just needed to get my post count up so I can PM someone. Myself I like to keep things as 32-bit floats or higher when its possible. You needed to up your post count? Seems weird when we've all been using your machines for what seems like a decad...

@De3Tri I wasn't subscribed to the thread so I didn't see your post.
So what did you end up finding out over the last month in your own tests?

Re: Sound quality
Dynamics are a potentially infinite journey - one of the artists I work with will spend hundreds of hours per album on editing dynamics alone. It all depends on the style and the intent. Great dynamics make a big difference if you want to create something that future generations can enjoy. One of my...

Re: MIDI-Out, you devilish fiend
How do you update the list of devices that MIDIVST gives? Right now it only shows "Internal MIDI" for me, even though "MIDI Send" from Polac VSTi shows at least 8 different options. I posted this question in another thread, so I hope that it's alright that I ask it here as well. ...

Re: Request for midi export/import
Per - I've added your nice little write-up to the buzz wiki. http://buzzwiki.robotplanet.dk/index.php/MIDI_in_Buzz Thank you Thanks for doing that. I hope it helps people. Maybe you can export them as seperate tracks. (I tried it only once, but it worked) (maybe add this to the wiki too..?) I'm goi...

Re: Polac ASIO driver (still looking for nonexistent driver)
Does your driver gets displayed in any other application/DAW? You could try to remove all references related to that FW-1082 driver from the registry. Also if you know the exact name of your actual driver try entering it manually in the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Jeskola\Buz...

Re: Hard disk recorder modes, int32 vs. float32?
@UNZ Great link, but actually your implication differs from what that YouTube author said. :) Here's a quote from Ethan Winer's follow-up article called "Does Dither Really Matter" that he links to on the AES webpage he references in the YouTube video you linked to. Bold emphasis was added...

Re: Hard disk recorder modes, int32 vs. float32?
@Dr3Tri Yes, if we are talking about editing on your computer, 32-bit float is most direct export you can do because it matches the format that Buzz itself mixes in (as Oskari mentioned). I would suggest that you also dither when creating lossy compressed files as well. You really want to dither any...

Re: Sound quality
@sparschaeler A big part of the issue is the sound you're starting off with. The file that vacuum attached will definitely get you closer than where you started out, but I would suggest taking the following things into consideration as you look for a generator/plug-in that's setup to get you closer ...

Re: Request for midi export/import
First of all, thanks for the MIDI import/export capability. It is so greatly appreciated and I can't tell you how many times I wish I had, had it years ago. Kudos. :) Are there any plans to add MIDI channel to the data exported? I do a lot of rhythmic string writing in Buzz where I use MIDI channels...
