buzz podcast 2021
got a random idea for an interesting 2021 project. In the spirit of Ekral's buzzmusic show (circa 2008-2010?), perhaps I could do a 2021 buzz podcast. The concept: Episodes would be released monthly or bimonthly depending on how many people want to participate/how much material I can realistically s...

old rumored buzz track
This is an artist which released a few records on the Metropolis label. In an old interview which I read in a print magazine (remember those?), he mentioned that he was using Sony Acid and Jeskola Buzz for his demo tracks prior to releasing his first album. This demo track sounds suspiciously buzzy:...

Re: Buzz - Best Software in History
it always blows me away when people use tick timing for anything but 4/8/16. post some examples? idk if there is a buzz slack but the efnet #buzz channel has been going for a while. there are some crazy bastards on there who rarely come on the forum. it's pretty quiet but occasionally there ...

Re: buzz summit paris 2019
yes springtime would have been ideal. it was wierdly hot there - like it wasn't super hot or humid but it just felt sweaty. I stayed in an old hotel with no AC, which was fine with those nice big french windows open, but there was a tradeoff: open the windows to fight the heat or close them to keep ...

Re: Is anybody using surface pro as a Buzzcomputer?
there is a modular tracker that's been designed for touchscreens: sunvox for a while it was iOS only, but it looks like he's released android and  windows versions! I'll have to give the windows version a shot and see what it's like on a big ol' 10" touchscreen  in any case yes donatio...

Re: DAW Control
aha, found the solo target dropdown. nice! it would be awesome to have multiple targets for the solo button and a mute feature as well.
I have so much fun with the skip forward and back feature. I use it like a stutter/glitch effect.
excellent work and I look forward to buzz summit 2019!

Re: Is anybody using surface pro as a Buzzcomputer?
Thought I was getting deja vu for a minute there  I replied to your last post here , but this new post adds the detail: what about the touchscreen with buzz? snowglobe's metro midi mogrifier is pretty fun with a touchscreen. here's the original thread . within buzz itself there isn't a whole lo...

Re: DAW Control
Right, so currently DAW Control 'Loop Enabled' toggles the button that enables Buzz to loop sequence from beginning (set by CTRL-B in the sequence view) to song end (set by CTRL-E in the sequence view). Is your request to define separate set of "loop beginning" and "loop end" values in sequence vie...

Nice picks everyone :) Tinga, that Hiromi video is great, thanks for showing that. Glad you mentioned Octave one, I didn't know about them and their performance is very inspiring! Thanks for the Pixabay recommend Willy. I've played with some footage from archive.org but a lot of it is pretty useless...

Re: MIDI Controller
Onecircles, thanks for the Geist 2 recommendation. Geist allowed me to do in minutes something I've been trying do do either with buzz or with hardware for years: route 8 drum sounds individually to fx sends and eqs! My god, the hours I've wasted trying to make this work. I'm stoked about the abilit...

Re: MIDI Controller
Looks like this only works when PeerCTRL has focus. have you found an easy way to switch machine focus outside of physically clicking on them or using the arrow keys? I wanted to put each zone of the controller into a separate PeerCTRL to keep things from getting overwhelming if I have to go change ...

well, I turned the controller off, closed buzz, turned the controller on and started buzz and now it seems to be working fine.
