Re: What´s your reason to use Buzz
I had used dos trackers for 5 years or so (screamtracker 3 and impulse tracker) and gone through a bit of a bad patch. A friend mentioned a new windows tracker that had all sorts of crazy stuff in it, and I gave buzz a try. Fell in love, samples worked the same way, very intuitive, first time I did...

What´s your reason to use Buzz
Ok. Since we have so much discussions going on about wheter Buzz should go commercial or not - ask yourself why you are using Buzz instead of another commercial DAW after all. In my case it is the multi pattern sequence editor which makes sequencing fast and also manages to keep the view clean. Neve...

that´s too bad. if the harddrive is still ok, remove it and test it on another device if possible.

Re: New contest : The 500 kb bmw Summer Solstice Contest
if you like it samplebased : for small file sizes i would use matilde tracker and a limited set of short samples. get creative on how to use a tracker with tremolo / vibrato / offset / retrigger effects. :) also matilde has integrated filters. that would be an interesting challenge: use only one mat...

Re: Buying new laptop
When it comes to audio and midrange notebooks, look for core i7 CPU / Windows7, descent screensize and 8GB of RAM. (RAM is cheap so could also update later).
Since the integrated audio chipsets aren´t exactly state of the art you could also get a small USB audio interface.

Re: Keyboard shortcuts (Rename, Clone)
I changed the rename function so the machine in question (lets say "Machine") will incrementally end up as "Machine.1", "Machine.2" and so on after cloning. If the machine´s name was "Bass1973", after cloning it becomes "Bass1973.1". The dot ".&...

Re: suddenly not able to save specific track
the logs look, well .. normal.
can you attach a screenshot of your MachineView setup in question?
did you already try to reproduce the issue after a reinstall or a later build?

Keyboard shortcuts (Rename, Clone)
Hi, since i often use Rename and Clone options in the MachineView, keyboard shortcuts would be handy for them. Also when renaming an appropriate auto-numbering would be nice. So i modifed following files/functions from the BuzzGUI : (see screenshot) \buzzgui\BuzzGUI.Common\Templates\Template.cs [ Re...

Re: suddenly not able to save specific track
I might be way off, but did you try a diskcheck on that particular partition? To try to isolate the problem you could take a look in Windows´s Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application after Buzz has crashed. If the file is already in use after a crash check Window´s Task Manager for a still running...

Re: Farbrausch V2 GUI
Did you try the latest available version from here : http://www.1337haxorz.de/drugs/farbraus ... ns_1.5.zip ?
Both, VSTi and Buzz wrapped version are working.
(Also had the GUI issue before)

Re: dark theme listbox performance fix
Also you could download the entire BuzzGUI project from the SVN and rebuild the DLLs.
Or you wait until the next build release.
