Re: new pvst beta (updated 2-Jul-2020)

Unfortunately i have dramatic problems with bridged vsts (x64) now. Going to plugin preferences last tab could cause a crash. Also its impossible to reload saved projects with x64 plugins! :? I have tried only Valhalla, but before update they were ok. Working fine here as far as I can tell. Can you...

  • Power user option: auto-resample. Right click 'Wavetable Audio' label. Resamples audio to Buzz sample rate if audio selected from AudioBlock UI or dragged to AudioBlock UI.
  • Flac, Ogg etc. should work now with drag&drop.

Re: Need some way to line up two wav's visually

CPU Monitor report up to 70%, but only during render - live record is fine. Made my last project super-difficult, had to learn to live with some glitched-out audio. I had the same trouble with bad glitches in renders, never in live output but audioblock didn't exist then. I found that dropping from...

Re: IX Magic - Updated May 31st, 2020

I purposely did not save either of the Magic templates before saving the BMX. That wouldn't make a difference. Of course everyone knows that not having a backup makes data loss two hundred times more likely but that's another matter. I then shut Buzz down & then reopened it before reloading my Magi...

Re: IX Magic - Updated May 2nd, 2020

I'm pretty sure I only had one instance. I don't think I've ever used more than one instance of Magic in any of my Buzz Projects. And yes, I do have Multithreading enabled. Two Processors with Thread Affinity Max set & Time Critical Priority (according to my Buzz settings). So much for that idea. C...

Re: IX Magic - Updated May 2nd, 2020

Opening up Magic in the "Live" setup that I was modifying today, I found it completely empty I have half a suspicion of what might have happened. I know it's a while back but can you remember, did you have two instances of Magic and do you have multithreading enabled? I just encountered a similar e...

Re: High resolution

Is the sample rate important too ? That's still a hotly debated topic! I don't think there's usually much point going higher than 48k. The argument for 96K and higher is that it prevents wrap-around aliasing causing low end distortion but whether it matters or not depends on the musical content and...

Re: High resolution

Sample rate should in theory be whatever your soundcard can handle. Best bit depth is float 32 (I think) but I've had trouble with glitches when exporting to that format so you might have to use int 32. I think int 24 is pefectly capable of reproducing everything you're ears are likely to notice tho...

Managed machine parameter value descriptions

What's the managed machine equivalent of CMachineInterface::DescribeValue() ? I see there are some nice shortcuts for common value types (dB, ms etc.) and I see you can specify a list but how do you get a custom description based on the value?

Not used it myself but I believe it's pretty good once you get used to it. It's made ny the same guy who made REAPER, which includes a ninjam client plugin.

2020.05.31 IX Magic 1.12e x86 + Fixed broken Event force note-off modes Turns out the two 'force note-off' modes have been broken for absolutely ages but they're fine now, better than ever. The x64 conversion is done but I had to make lots of changes so I want to test drive both versions it ...

Re: WASAPI Shared mode

Just had my first real music making (rather than machine testing) session on my new Win10 laptop and I noticed some almost vinyl like crackling on the output. Eventually discovered (after trying everything else!) that switching the WASAPI driver to exclusive solved the problem. Tried in both 32 and ...

Cool, I'll upload it. Forums are such horrible places to store things, and search for things. True. PS: I need to rewrite the entire upload system, which ended up being really weird. More weird than the login system. Meanwhile, I can upload machines for whoever needs it. I hope you can get it all w...

Let me know if I should put this on the buzz machine site.
Sure, put it on the site, it seems pretty stable (although I'm currently breaking tons of stuff by x64ing it ).

I still can't login to the site. Is it just me or doesn't it work yet?
