Re: Flickering drop-down menus in PVST & 64-bit VST2 plugins
and then tried DiscoDSP OB-XD 1.5 (VST2) Wait ... you're right. I'd been using the TAL 64bit instruments as my testbed but just tried OBXD ( Windows 64bit/vst2 build ) and the preset menu doesn't appear at all/flickers super quickly so you barely see it. In this instance I know that it definitely u...

Re: Flickering drop-down menus in PVST & 64-bit VST2 plugins
Are both instruments and effects still flickering for you? As River Cricket mentions above, it seems like the VST instrument side of things has been fixed (at least for JUCE built plugins) but not for VST effects.

Re: Flickering drop-down menus in PVST & 64-bit VST2 plugins
That's great news - Though presumably it'll only be fixed for those JUCE plugins where/if the author decides to recompile their plugins using this new framework version

Re: Matilde tracker, as vsti, theoretically possible?
I coded a buzz shell vst for private use, works also fine with matilde and unwieldy. I could ask Oskari about this to release it officially(however I doubt Oskari would allow this one). https://xlutop.com/buzz/buzz.png https://xlutop.com/buzz/renoise.png Hey Polac - Did you ever hear anything from ...

You're right - totally missed the 'highlight the columns you want to paste the info into' step when using CTRL-T ... Works perfect

Re: Copy machine settings to a pattern
I thought there used to be a copy-button on it to do that, but is seems to be gone. Wait ... you're totally right! Completely forgotten about that despite using it frequently on 'old' buzz. Yeah the 'Copy' button used to be at the top of the machine parameter screen: https://buzzwiki.robotplanet.dk...

Re: Modern Sequence Editor
This is probably a major, major feature request but what would the chances of including drag and drop support inc. use of modifier keys in the sequence view Examples: - Click-dragging on an individual pattern and moving the mouse up and down the timeline would move the pattern to that new location. ...

Re: Matilde tracker, as vsti, theoretically possible?
reaper + hackey trackey + redux = buzz fun outside of buzz (in best daw in my case, in Reaper) That Hackey Trackey looks great, shame it's LUA only or I'd be using that for almost all my programming in Ableton! Am I right in thinking redux doesn't have midi out - for me that's a bit of a show stopp...

Re: new pvst beta (updated 2-Jul-2020)
I think I've found a bug when loading VST3 plugins. It's the same on both OB-Xd and Odin2. Think it's a JUCE (a framework that aids with cross platform development) issue rather than necessarily being VST3 as I've the same issue with some VST2 plugins (e.g. Tal Sampler and indeed OB-Xd (the VST2 ve...

I think most of the file format has been known about for quite a while now - https://buzzwiki.robotplanet.dk/index.p ... BMX_format (albeit in a format a little over my head!)

Re: Modern Sequence Editor
I think if the new 'CTRL+Q' version of Oskari's Pattern Editor was feature complete and the new default, this became the new Sequence editor, and both had Envelope Block features .... I'd probably ditch Ableton and return back to lovely Buzz !

Re: Modern Sequence Editor
(ps. is there a 'Modern Pattern Editor' - and if not would such a thing even be possible?!) Press CTRL-Q in pattern editor to see what Oskari has been working on. How/why have I never migrated to that pattern editor before ?! Is it possible to set this as the default view ? EDIT: Ooh actually is it...

Adventures in 4K
After a decade of intense use I've finally got round retiring my humble lappy and get a new one to hopefully last me as long. It's got the new fangled Geforce RTX 2080 graphics card in it and natively runs everything in 4k. So far so snazzy - However day two of migrating everything over from my old ...
