Re: BMX Metadata?

Found a work-around if anyone else is interested. Neat little software package called FileMeta that allows you to add Metadata to any file type & have it displayed in Windows Explorer's Details Pane. https://github.com/Dijji/FileMeta It works pretty good, but do read the documentation to see its...

Re: Noob MIDI question…

Yeah, that'll throw you for a loop  Thanks! Here's an update. So I now have Buzz seeing the XBox Controller (yeah! ); however, when I bind the MIDI Controller in Buzz's Preferences -> MIDI Input, it does not seem to recognize the joystick as a continuous controller. i.e. it's binding th...

Re: Noob MIDI question…

Does MIDITrix need to be running at the same time as Buzz for it to work? I assume so, right? Looks like it might work for what I'm trying to do. Will play around with it. Thanks for the suggestion IX!

Re: Noob MIDI question…

Alright, it's been a while since I've had a Noob MIDI question, so I must be learning something  OK, so I'm fiddling with my "Live" Buzz setup again in preparation for FAWM 2021 ( February Album Writing Month - if you're interested). What I'm trying to do is add one of my son's old X-...

Re: FAWM 2021 starting in a couple of weeks

I double FAWMed (I wrote 30 songs) & double 50/90'd (wrote 100 songs) last year. It was a non-stop song-writing marathon. You have to remember, FAWM & 50/90 aren't about finished songs (Mixed, Mastered & ready to press to your favourite media), it's about getting a demo recorded & th...

Wah Wha What?

So I'm trying to put together a "Wah Pedal" c/o my Behringer FCB-1010 MIDI Foot Controller. I first tried HoRNet's Wah Wah VST but it's a resource hog (like most VSTs). So I thought to myself: c'mon there's gotta be a Buzz Machine for this. Sure enough, I've settled on FSM's WahMan Pro2 po...

FAWM 2021 starting in a couple of weeks

Some of you may remember that every year I participate in the online songwritting challenge: February Album Writing Month (FAWM). The challenge is to write & record demos for 14 songs in the 28 days of February. The challenge sounds daunting, but the trick is these are demos - not finished piece...

Re: Modern Sequence Editor

VU Meter levels. Choose output from menu if more than one. More TimeLine number options. Oooo VU Meter. I love VU Meters. Especially vintage looking ones (tho, I imagine this is far more digital looking like the traditional Buzz VU Meter). Cool stuff WDE 8-) Thanks for all your work! See You In The...

This will come in handy as I start to prep for FAWM 2021 (February Album Writing Month) 8-)

I would suggest talking with wde & IXix as both these wonderful devs have given the Buzz community some of the newest machines that have really opened up new Buzz methodologies & abilities.

Re: Modern Sequence Editor

That's pretty cool, WDE 8-)

I'm thinking of using an unused 32" flatscreen TV that's been sitting in my basement as a second monitor in my studio setup (I just need to figure out a spot to put it), so MSE is going to come in real handy once I get it up & going.

Re: Building BuzzGUI in 2020

Well, I think we've discussed my coding skills before. 10 Print "Candle can't code" 20 Goto 10 Is about the extent of it ;) (Tho, I can play around with some things (HTML, a little JAVA maybe, but that's about it…) So, you're far ahead of me in such things. I guess tho, techically, anytime...

BMX Metadata?

Ok, I know this is a big ask, but I'm wondering if it would be possible to add ID3-like Metadata to BMX files? I understand that right now you can't & that it would probably be a big hassle to do so (re-coding the file format), but it would be nice for BMX indexing & cataloguing to have Meta...

He tried Buzz & this was the result…

So one of my friends on FAWM & the 50-90 challenge decided to give Buzz a try after hearing some of the stuff I was able to create with our favourite DAW. He's still learning the program, but he's already put together a few impressive tracks. His name is Cody (tho, he goes by dzd) & he colla...

Re: Bug Hunting IX PatchBay 3

OK, I put together a test project that seems to be able to reproduce the output re-routing bug when you open Patchbay's Parameter Window. I wrote some notes in the WDE Notebook machine attached to the BMX. If you have any problems or questions about the file, just let me know. Patchbay Output Routin...
