Interrupted Playback with Opp3?

Hi all

The file attached behaves weirdly. audio coming from mixio stops every now and then, and only the bassdrum is audible. I think there's a problem with opp3. any clues??? example audio attached.

Funkyverb peaks?

hi all

in the bmx attached, there is a sharp drop on beat 2048. at measure 2112, more or less all funkyverb's cpu usage explodes at once which makes the playback crackle. I have no clue what is going on there. tried to mute, both on pattern and sequence level, didn't work. any hint?

Re: Sound quality

hi mute, you're probably right... I just haven't found the way yet to go into all of these subtleties. It's interesting - as volume is consistent, it resembles 'normal' house music much more. with dynamics changes, you get closer to antona's sound

Re: My Dummy Questitions

ticks are essentally the resolution of playback. the more ticks you set per time unit, the finer the resolution is. Standard is a tick per 1/16 or 4 ticks per beat. given equal bpm, more ticks per beat allow for higher resolution, e.g. 32nds. play with it and find it out. decay/sampler functions: lo...

Re: Sound quality

well there's a new track where I used samples from bought packages, along with self recorded samples, along with some qsamos (where the oscs are tuned across at least 2 octaves and unison is fully active.

sound quality is essential to me as it changes the way i get inspired by the sound itself

Re: Minimal Techno Production Techniques

Technique 5: load a sample with different sounding parts in a sampler (e.g. a hihat with very tonal and a very noisy part). Then play it back at different pitches - not too many instances simultaneously, the sound must still be distinguishable. Then add a joachim chopper and randomize it. done. reco...

Re: Sound quality

thanks! especially per and vacuum. I got so lost in my crackle and noise exercises that I forgot that there are still sounds that need to be the fat basis of a track. I'll now put the crackly and noisy things a level higher and alter my qsamo presets (btw just imitated a number of sylenth presets wi...

Sound quality

I generally like my sound ideas, but the quality eventually seems to be way off professionally produced tracks. Here is where I want to go: http://soundcloud.com/marc-antona/marc-antona-the-hammock-spider And here is where I am: http://soundcloud.com/caprylic/caprylic-splendid-float I've tried chang...
