Re: Compiling Cyanphase JedShivaMeter for 64-bit Buzz?
So I am attempting to fumble my way through this, though I don't know what I'm doing  I'm running Windows 10 64-bit. I've installed Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2019, opened the 'JedShivaMeter.sln' file, and let VS install another 7GB of resources that it needs. Then I see this screen:...

Compiling Cyanphase JedShivaMeter for 64-bit Buzz?
So the JedShivaMeter code looks to be here: https://sourceforge.net/p/jedshivameter/code/HEAD/tree/ I'd like to compile it for 64-bit Buzz, as the 32-bit .DLL doesn't work in Buzz64 and I haven't found another mixer that's similar/sufficiently stable in 64-bit. (Using Buzz64 so I can use the 64-bit ...

Re: Pattern XP mod
Is it possible to modify Pattern XP mod so that, when you hit play, it always displays the current pattern (if a Pattern XP pattern is playing), and updates/follows the song position i.e. when a new pattern starts, the pattern view switches to that pattern? Kind of like in Renoise: https://www.faceb...

Discotheque Brutes
I finished this a couple of years ago; found it sitting on my hard drive and thought I'd dust it off. UTrk-ness plus Virus TI Snow here and there:

Re: Everything into Master, or mixer machine?
With mixio can you rout channels separately into another DAW? I use Reaper to track live instruments, so if i wanted to separate individual buzz machines onto their own tracks in Reaper would mixio or something similar allow me to do that? I've used Buzz off and on since 2001 and have a fair unders...

Re: New Pattern Editor - Rows Per Beat
I've only just discovered this (hitting ctrl + q to get the new pattern editor) and would love to use the tweakable rows per beat in conjunction with Pattern XP. But if I make a Pattern XP machine, go to the pattern view, and hit ctrl + q, I can't see the 'Columns...' button that lets me add columns...

Compo remix for Aussie radio station
I remixed the track 'Homemade Dynamite' by Lorde (a musician from New Zealand who is popular in Australia) for a radio competition (with Triple J Unearthed). Here is the result: https://soundcloud.com/fractalsupremacy/fractal-supremacy-homemade-dynamite-no-secret-weapons-mix It's a bit rough because...

Re: Buzz in Live Situations
I use Buzz with two Novation Launchpads and a PyBuzz script I wrote. The script associates positions in the Buzz sequence window with different buttons on one of the Launchpads - if you press a button the cursor jumps to the corresponding position in the sequence, and whatever patterns are there get...

Re: Unwieldy Tracker Noise Bursts
I've had problems with UTrk making noise bursts. I never really got to the bottom of it but it seems to be related to the use of 24-bit samples - if I play a 24-bit sample on a given track followed by a sample of different bit-depth, sometimes I get a noise burst or a big click. My workaround is to ...

Re: Matilde Tracker 3 fails to load.
Oh, problem solved. This file was missing from the Buzz folder, in case anyone else has this problem. http://www.dlldump.com/dllfiles/M/MSVCR71.dll Just for reference: this file comes as part of the .NET 1.1 distribution, so install that. Once you've done this, find MSVCR71.DLL in your Windows dire...

Re: Free VST drum sampler
I like this one, though I couldn't get it to play nicely with Piano Roll, so I wrote a script to control/program it from a PyBuzz pattern. Using it to good effect to make 'real' drums for a friend's project . . .

Re: Setting/freezing "neutral" value on spring-loaded contro
Regarding the PyBuzz route, here is a script I wrote which maps CC values from a MIDI controller in the way that you describe: https://vid.me/e/glxU In the example, the unaltered MIDI cc is mapped to ATrackParam on the Jeskola Gain called 'Unmapped'; the mapped MIDI is mapped to ATrackParam on the o...

Cheers for that - does the job nicely Originally I was trying to do something 'smart'/needlessly complicated with Internal MIDI machines, but right-clicking and changing the out channel in attributes is quick and easy!

Changing MIDI out channel on the fly with Polac loader?
Hi, I'm using an Access Virus TI Snow with Buzz. It has a VST software interface which I use with Polac's wrapper. The Snow has 3 audio channels - these are controlled using MIDI channels 1,2,3. It's easy to send data to the required channel in a Polac VST pattern by setting the appropriate MIDI cha...

Re: Best option for freezing tracks to .wav?
For the entire mix, the 'Render Loop' option in Hard Disk Recorder is great: it renders the track as quickly as possible (and silently). Note that hardware synths don't like it if you don't render in real-time (my Virus TI doesn't, anyway); in which case 'Record Loop', which renders in real time, is...
