Re: gamepad as midi controller?

This is something I myself was interested in, and the solution that ended up working best for me is a program called "Fergo JoystickMIDI" (google it, it's freeware). Going from memory here, my joystick's not set up at the moment, but as I recall you load Fergo, create assignations in Fergo...

Re: Routing MIDI controller with multiple channels to two VS

Okay, folks. I am a total moron, but at least I'm the kind of moron who solves my own stupid issues (eventually :D). For the record: 1. View > Settings > MIDI > MasterKeyboardMode = FALSE 2. Assign channels using right-click > MIDI Input Channel 3. Wait for it... 4. ... 5. http://i.imgur.com/QkKcQAf...

Re: Routing MIDI controller with multiple channels to two VS

Also beware that sometimes go from 1-16 and sometimes 0-15. This was definitely part of my problem, but even now that everything's on the correct channel, it's still not working. And now I'm remembering why I didn't want to use PeerCtrl - every time I touch it I get horribly horribly lost. :...

Looking for Kibibu's Il Lupo Stanco + Dog's Best Friend

I spent fifteen minutes hammering away on Google, and still can't find a download of this machine for the life of me (it doesn't seem to be on RoboPlanet).

Is any kind soul able to help?

Re: Routing MIDI controller with multiple channels to two VS

I've dabbled with PeerCtrl in the past, but would really prefer a method - if one exists, of course - that gets rid of the PeerCtrl middleman. My main VST has a really nice AutoLearn function that makes assignations a breeze, and I'm more familiar with the sliders and dials by "vision" tha...

Routing MIDI controller with multiple channels to two VSTs?

This is probably a bog-simple question, but I'm still not intimately fluent in MIDI, especially not "Buzz MIDI" :D I have an M-Audio Oxygen-25. It features an eight-button pressure-sensitive "drumpad" that is hard-wired (i.e. not reassignable on the MIDI controller itself) to tra...

Re: SnowMachines combined thread

These machines seem incredible (though I wonder if a doofus like me will ever fully wrap his puny little head around them)! One problem: When I add the Scale Snapper machine and double-click it to open the GUI, I get this screen of crash log gobbledegook. If I click "OK" I get the machine'...

Re: Setting/freezing "neutral" value on spring-loaded contro

Here are the relevant pvst docs, it's a breeze: Midi in device http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/pvstdocs/main.html#33 Midi send http://www.xlutop.com/buzz/pvstdocs/main.html#30 Oh man, closer and closer! I tried connecting the machines like in the diagram, but it still isn't working - just to break down ...

Re: Setting/freezing "neutral" value on spring-loaded contro

Interesting question. Some vst can take the midi values you pass them and constrain them within any 2 arbitrary points, so the center of those two points become your new center. So if you can define a range for a midi controller within the vst you are using that would be one way to accomplish this....

Re: Setting/freezing "neutral" value on spring-loaded contro

I've been looking into this all day now - seems I could maybe do this in PyBuzz, but there's no real documentation other than the old "read through the included .py files and try to make sense of them" (another BuzzChurch casualty, maybe?). I hate ...

Setting/freezing "neutral" value on spring-loaded control?

Maybe the topic is self-explanatory, but just in case: I have a spring-loaded control. It outputs between 0-127, and if I don't touch it, it outputs 63 or 64. I have a Buzz Machine* with a setting bound to the MIDI control. Assuming (for the sake of keeping things simple) that it has values between ...

Re: How can I figure out which MIDI CC controls which VST kn

I'd approach this one of two ways: 1 (relatively easy): pick the params you want to control and manually assign the knobs/sliders on your controller to the switches/widgets/whatsits on the vst. you can do this by clicking midi learn in polac vst, moving the desired whatsit on the vst, then right cl...

Re: How can I figure out which MIDI CC controls which VST kn

Hope they've followed table 3 found here: http://www.midi.org/techspecs/midimessages.php#3 That was my first hope, but nope - completely random. Doesn't even have a logical progression within the .GUI (like having 00 = leftmost, 01 being to the right of that, etc). Or read the manual. Hahahaha a ma...

How can I figure out which MIDI CC controls which VST knob?

Stayed up until 2am last night Googling this, to no avail. I have several VST synths with lots and lots of knobs and sliders. I also have hardware controls which can be defined as any MIDI CC#. Everything works in Buzz - I load up Polac VSTi, load a VST .dll, open up the machine, move the hardware, ...

Turning off the "Play Notes" checkbox by default?

Is there any way to have Buzz load with the "Play Notes" checkbox disabled by default? Lost count of the number of times I've shocked my ears by accidentally adding some high notes after cranking the volume way up to work on some subtle harmonics elsewhere in the song.

Re: Pattern XP mod

The more I use this mod, the more I like it  One small thing though: Would it be possible to add a bit of "whitespace" to the Chord Expert popup? I have my text displaying at 125% in Windows 7 (control panel > display > "Make it Easier to Read What's On Your Screen"), and ...
