Opened up a preset file for the first time today. Now I can share a single preset like my kick drum I just posted in presets. WOOHOO! I'm lame, I know whatever.
Some things are going to be a lot easier now that I know how this works...

A kick drum B)
Wasn't happy with the kick samples I was using, and so I made this kick using qsamo. It's just a kick. I have this going through a gain and a high shelf. It sounds good coming out my particular amplifier (10 inch driver) and on this particular song. It's quite low, so if I play it on my laptop speak...

Sadly it looks like bbc iplayer is region locked. I'll check it out on the VPN later. For Amiga I really like ctrix debuglive videos: In this one he's recording the amiga onto reel to reel in studio and getting a pretty amazing sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxvuwiP-zds In this one he's talk...

Re: Subpattern global vs. local (what's the difference?)
I asked the same Q and didn't get an answer. It seems to me that it would have to do with tracks per pattern, as you say. If you enable a global subpattern, you only get one column, if you enter track subpatterns you get one column per track. But, as you probably know if you trigger a subpattern in ...
Re: Buzz 64
Well, looks like you will have to be a 64 bitist. Maybe oskari, upon hearing of your exploits, will give us a new build with enhanced 64bit support, and then we can all join you. Keep us posted. I'll be interested to hear of any limitations you encounter. I've been 32bit since years ago, when the yo...
Re: Buzz 64
Interesting! I was ignorant to all this stuff, but it looks pretty amazing, and pretty expensive!. I'm sure it sounds incredible. So are you going to get kontakt and UVI workstation going in buzz? That's going to be rad. I support it. Is that how it works? Are kontakt and UVI like hosts that run in ...
Re: Buzz 64
Wow, I had no idea that synth strings could sound so true to life. I almost don't believe you. It sounds so expressive and organic, and the tone is perfect. Does it take a long time to script all kinds of bow positions and speed and oh lord I can't even imagine what else!? It sounds so organic that ...
Re: Buzz 64
I think about this thread some times... So nowdays are you keeping a huge amount of samples in ram? I was thinking about this, and although I have a big collection of samples I can only ever use 128 at a time, so it doesn't end up being that much ram. Why are your samples so big? Are they like 392kh...

Re: Best machine for master note control of multiple machine
I ended up having a reliable crash, I believe it was when I saved in sequence view I would get a crash. Pattern XP had 6 tracks in 2 qsamo and 8 tracks in 2 m4wii, all carrying only midi note, delay and velocity. Maybe I can dig up the bmx if anyone is interested. I ended up using an MTNADA. Hands d...

Show your work (pics!)
So I am an idiot and only today learned how to properly embed pictures. I think it would be nice if we had a pics thread going all up in here. For those who don't know, like my nard-hole self, all you have to do is take a screenshot with print screen, or use snipping tool, then upload the image to a...

Re: Exporting entire song as one .txt file, possible?
Great suggestion. Emacs power in the pattern editor would be unreal. I mean, if we could get something like org mode going for the pattern editor, I think we might create a rift in the space time continuum. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJTwQvgfgMM https://orgmode.org/ If you haven't seen org mode...

Re: MIDI Controller
If you find a machine stubbornly refuses to accept midi note data when recording. Bring pattern XP in as a machine, enable tracks for the target machine. Use the cursor to select the midi note column in pattern XP, and it should record. I am not sure if this works only with pattern XP as a machine, ...

Thanks for the suggestion IXIXIXIX, I had forgotten about dependency walker. I do indeed get many errors. "error opening file. the system cannot find the file specified" DSPLIB.DLL MSVCR70.DLL API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ERROR-L1-1-0.DLL API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-L1-1-0.DLL API-MS-WIN-CORE-WINRT-ROB...

Re: Sooooo, is buzz dead again ?
Yeah, "inept provocation" well said. And by the posters own admission, they never plumbed into the depths of what this DAW is capable of. Let's admit it, this DAW is complex. It's difficult. This is not garage band. But thanks to the hard work of all the devs, as much as you're w...

Thanks for saying it's cool. Means a lot to me
I say "challenge" because I have always found making videos very intimidating, but I need/want to do it, so thanks for asking.

Re: LaunchPad, Buzz & Snowglobe Scale Walker
You know what? I haven't got any videos yet, but challenge accepted. I played two shows last year using buzz. But sadly my girlfriend didn't record them. One was with oshwa, the other with ohmme. https://ohmmemusic.com/ https://oshwa.bandcamp.com/ The drummer from ohmme asked what program I was usin...
