Re: Buzz workflow: tips and tricks
i'd really like to see what others use as a startup template, i tried making one a while back and it just became overly complicated. one thing that has helped me recently is making longer patterns and using the zoom slider in the new sequencer to zoom out so i can see the whole track as i'm working...

Re: Buzz workflow: tips and tricks
If I understand your question right, (and to answer topics in other recent threads about integrating polacVST and mixers) I would say that every person would like his own (based on buzz modularity) startup bmx: - a startup bmx on your desktop while double-clicked opens buzz the way you would like t...

Re: What´s your reason to use Buzz
I started using buzz because I was used to trackers before and I was looking for something that was free. Now I'm hooked on it because of it's: - Modularity. Hooking up machines like that makes it so easy to get create custom sound chains. This is the thing I miss the first when I try something else...

song structure / mapping bmp on waveform
Anyone know a way to e.g. map a bpm/measurement grid on top of a wavform of an imported mp3 somehow? I've tried Audacity but even though it has a beatfinder, it doesn't have any measurements or counter on it so it's kinda of pointless. The idea is to import some of my fav techno/dnb tunes and get a ...

LD mixer crashing on Win8 (and Win7 I guess) + FIX
I've used LD mixer a lot in the past and I noticed that all bmx's with this machine made Buzz crash on opening. If I'm lucky I can delete it in the machine view before Buzz dies on me. But it usually takes a few tries before I get to remove it. While trying to figure out what the problem was, I noti...
Re: USB audio
Hate doing anything to registry. It has taken me a long time to set this buzz setup Backup your registry data before messing with it. Always. For a single item (and sub-items) it's pretty simple. If you right click the entry in the registry editor you have the Export option. If you use that you can...

Re: fuzzpillz lepidopterist not working in new buzz?
Maybe you already tried it and I don't know if it will help, but for some synths turning multithreading off helps. If it helps you can then turn it off for only that machine in the gear.xml file Tried that but it didn't make a difference. The machine still crashed afterwards. Something new I've not...

using multile midi devices with buzz
I have 2 Korg nano midi controls. A pad2 and a Kontrol2. I have to choose which one I want to use in Buzz however, so I'm wondering if there is a way to get both of them working at the same time. From the looks of it this ain't possible as is, but I'm wondering if there isn't some magical midi softw...

fuzzpillz lepidopterist not working in new buzz?
I love this machine and use it in lots of tracks. Unfortunately this machine seems to crash constantly and instantly in the new buzz which means I can't use a bunch of older tracks anymore and I'm also at a loss for a good glitching-things-the-f-up effect. Any known workarounds to get this machine w...

Re: Peer machine with audio input
I use the peer LFO a lot but the others not so much. It feels easier to just put the notes in sometimes instead of the trigger stuff.
Wouldn't mind seeing those tutorials though.

Re: Peer machine with audio input
double plus agree on this one ! lately almost everything i write is in some way based around a peer trig scheme .. for instance been doing a lot of utrk (beat sequence)----peertrig----synth note and at the same time utrk---peertrig---synth cutoff or other parameter .. for instant acidy fun ! What d...

Re: Malitide VS Unwieldy
I love UTrk because it's so good to chop up breaks with for some good jungle/dnb action.
Matilda doesn't quite cut it for that, but if you don't need the beat choppage then I use that one instead.

Re: 600MB of drums
What's your favourite machine for programming drums using a set of samples btw?
I tend to use a simple tracker for that most of the time (matilda) so I can do retriggers and all, but something like the 909 or 808 trigger-view would be easier to use.

Re: returning from a break
I installed the new buzz and copied all my old machines over and haven't really run into any major issues. It's a lot more stable AFAIK. Machine crashes don't seem to take buzz down quite that quickly anymore, which is nice. I didn't update any index file because you can now just start typing on the...

Re: New contest : The 500 kb zippped bmw Summer Solstice Con
btw : should we have an audio version (mp3/ogg) too ? And put all (zip + audio) at archive.org like the 60x60 buzz contest ? The 60x60 contest have been downloaded 16613 times! :o Yes, totally do that if you want non buzz people to listen to it. bmx/bmw is a problem anyway, even if you exch...
