Re: Samples from Zephod's Zx7 + dt blkfx: mysterious sounds

Hi Etruscan, thanks for downloading BTW, I completely forgot that I once have uploaded a bmx on buzztunes on how to make this kind of sounds and I couldn't find it on my harddisk: http://www.buzztunes.org/music/vacuum/the-bells-of-the-natural-zombie-demo (and I see you commented on it) , but the sam...

Re: Sound quality

I thought about sidechaining too when I listened the first time, but it's probably a simple fade(s) that makes it apear like sidechaining. There's also some fine work with the volume levels and probably electronicly generated drumsounds etc, but I'm not sure. I made a bmx that might give an idea on ...

Re: Utrk Missing

Maybe you have used, and not put, the alternate version in the gen folder. There's an alternate version of unwieldytracker and it has the note column on the left side (and a few bugs if I remember correctly). This version is called UnwieldyTracker.dll (without the name Fuzzpilz in it, so it shows up...

Re: Best delay with Jeskola Groove / Swing?

buzz delay:
right-click HD combo delay to calculate (suffle) shuffle beat.

I never tried it but maybe it works very good.

Re: Funky bassguitar samples

Oh, btw,
there are numbers in the names of some single shot samples.
S for start and E for end, to set the looppoints in buzz wavetable,
because the wavetable ignores looppoints info.

Also, with bpm in the name, it is a looping sample
(you probably already know).

Re: What happened to Jeskola Freeverb?

I think Jeskola Freeverb is part of the old buzz.exe (buzz 1.2) The new buzz.exe (2008 and on) does not have this machine coded inside it, because the new buzz is in fact based on an older code than buzz 1.2. Jeskola Mixer doesn't work for the same reason. That's why you don't find a .dll to place i...

Re: Compressing a sample-heavy module

Buzz (also the oct 2000 old buzz.exe) always does a bit of lossless compression to the wav when you save, afaik. If I remember correctly, Oskari made this compression himself. Sometimes some of those 16 bit 22050 Hz samples may sound better when they are 8 bit and 44100 Hz. The lowest filesize you w...

Re: Record into wavetable?

CnG recorder doesn't work on my win7 machine too (build 1464) Being able to playback the recording at the same time that it records was always a nice feature in buzz (CnG recorder). So you could apply Matilde effects to anything you want. (Like in my track "Overcomputed" on buzztunes.) I A...

Re: m2buzz (MOD/XM/MIDI-to-Buzz converter) not working.

Hi, whenever I tried to convert mod/it/xm to bmx it didn't work in a way that was better than writing the whole track over in buzz again. It might work to get notes in the right place, but I don't remember exactly what was wrong. Maybe I didn't know how to do it. The last time I used m2buzz was on w...

Hotkeys etc. for (people going from old to) new buzz

Hi, To get started with the new buzz I made a list of hotkeys, to rmember. I took them from the changelog and I thought it would be useful for other newbuzzers. …done up to build 1429 Pattern xp: - pattern xp: write parameter state (ctrl+t) Make a selection and use ctrl+t to paste current parameter ...
