Re: very strange issue . opened song to no sequence
This happens when you are missing machines or a machine is misplaced (eg. in the effects when it should be in the generators). Look at the debug console as suggested or the status bar may have a message about a misplaced machine.

Re: Multiple cores?
I'm afraid my experience is the exact opposite. It's very rare to see Buzz use more than 1 or 2 cores. Go for the best per-core floating point performance you can get. Sad fact: Most CPU tests we see today don't test floating point very well. They use software which is highly optimized (by not usin...

Creating xaml borders
I seem to remember someone doing something like this to more clearly define weather you have selected the pattern editor or the new sequencer, but I wrote over my sequenceeditor.xaml and never found it again. So I've been trying to make the x:Key="CursorBrush" create a border around the cu...

Small req: sortable list in new sequencer
I like using the new sequencer. But because I can't remember patterns after around "J", when I create a new or copy of a pattern, I often have to refer to the list on the side of the sequencer to find my new pattern's letter. The list is only the size of number of sequenced machines so the...

Re: Using Jeskola Buzz/ syncing with live band
In Midiox you may need to turn timecode display on in the options somewhere, get that showing up then route midiyoke to the correct soundcard. All obvious stuff I know, but on some of my stuff there will be two virtual midi outs.. Also, the Polac midisend machine has to be set to MTC or somesuch, it...
Re: Rendering
Well hopefully it was just my CPU and the cooling problems I was having with my old laptop. Just got a new one with a 2013 I5 proc.. Supposed to have a better power vs. performance ratio then the I7's and from a post at KVR I decided to go with more speed and less cores then vise-versa. I can ratche...
Rendering
I've been trying to render things using the HD-recorder, thinking it'll be able to render even though playing the song maxes out my CPU. I'm still getting some CPU spikes and Reaktor is turning itself off during rendering.. Is this feature to just record something fast? That is nice though I'm more ...

Re: Multiple cores?
Hmmm. Thanks for the prompt reply. I mostly do everything inside Reaktor now which does have it's own multicore support. Do you think this matters, or would Mr. Polac only know the answer to that? Yeah I think I got the thing apart without breaking anything.. At this point I think I'll be leaving ou...

Multiple cores?
I'm a bit confused after a night of painfully taking apart my laptop to try and reapply thermal paste (apparently you have to take the monitor off these things just to get to the CPU now).. Before that I was playing around with the CPU engine options in Buzz and noticing severe stuttering and CPU ov...
Re: AudioGL
Sorry to couch a request inside of another post.. AudioGL is really cool looking and I suppose I could just use more then one piece of software to write music... But damn if I don't want to do everything in Buzz!
AudioGL
So AudioGL is actually out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCC9uHHAEuA And here I thought it was vaporware! So... I was looking at the various features.. It's major one being being able to easily see everything that is automated in the patch while zooming around and adjusting stuff. Buzz can do that...

Re: Using Jeskola Buzz/ syncing with live band
Click track is the answer. Finding a drummer who can/will play with a click track is another thing though. With musicians that use loop pedals or other kinds of sequencers you unfortunately have to be the master tempo for everyone and supply midi sync signals, recording devices or software that they...

Re: peertrigger some questions
PeerTrig is fabulous, my best chain is with peerscale, assign peertrig-->peer scale peer me and set these params on peer trig: volume and dynamic to have the notes changing on the scale you have chosen, i've many example of this, of course accumulator is parfect with peertrig. So is that Peer feedb...

Re: Sticky vs. One-off tracker commands
Yeah I'll throw my hat into this ring. It's been a confusing issue on many machines, figuring out which commands are "sticky" and which are "one-off" (I like this naming convention). A sampler that explicitly states these differences would be swell, but I'd even be happy just kno...

2002 and prior song loaded in new Buzz.
This is a breakthrough for me. Number one, the song uses the RnZnAnF~ VST adapters, which crash on load if they don't find the correct VST in Gear\VST. So first step was getting every other VST out of that directory and just keeping the ones needed. Number two, make sure you get all your effects/gen...

Re: copy & paste
No that creates a new pattern, so your old ones are left with whatever format you thought sufficient at the time. Just as an example, here's something that happens to me a lot: - I create a VSTI, maybe add some effects that I want to automate to the pattern with patternXP, maybe a drum machine too. ...

Re: copy & paste
Maybe I should clarify: An old PatternXP pattern. Retaining all the formatting of a new PXP pattern and pasting it onto an old PXP pattern creates the drool. For example, when you have an old pattern with only one or two machines with just volume columns represented and you've subsequently added lik...

Re: copy & paste
Seems we're only a stones throw away from being able to copy a patternXP format and paste it to an old pattern, retaining all the old data... drool..
